Recently got new Beck, Fleet Foxes and U2 (http://ksauradio.com) for station I manage. Didn't know about Mastodon, will have to look out for that. Pretty sure if Foo releases anything, it'll come on a Hit Disc in the mail.

I missed the opportunity to post a blog yesterday but I had my hands tied up with work. Here's some choices of upcoming albums that I'm looking forward to.
Morning Phase - Beck
Sea Change is probably my favorite Beck album and the word-of-mouth on Morning Phase is that it's like the spiritual successor. So, count me in.
Out Among The Stars - Johnny Cash
Here's a lost 80's album that Cash made near the end of his run with Columbia but it's never been released. At first I thought this was more outtakes from his American Recording sessions but I'm always excited about more music from The Man In Black.
Drive-By Truckers
I love this band and they consistently turn out awesome southern rock albums.
Adele
I enjoyed her previous album and I love her voice.
Foo Fighters
This may or may not come out this year but any new Foo is good news.
Mastodon
The Hunter wasn't completely successful and that live album didn't blow my hair back so I'm hoping this new album turns out better. Great band.
U2
No Line On The Horizon was overwrought, overlong and embarrassing at times. This time, I'd like a more traditional rock album.
Fleet Foxes
Any band that efficiently mixes rock and folk (and doesn't sound as awful as Mumford & Sons) gets my attention. I love their debut and Helplessness Blues so I bet this'll turn out great.
Agalloch
Agalloch is one of the best doom/prog metal bands out there and they hit a serious creative high with Marrow Of The Spirit in 2010. Also check out Ashes Against The Grain, The Mantle and Pale Folklore. Wanting this new one to rock my world as well.
The spin-off Archer album that has country songs sung by Cherylene
If you're currently watching the new season of Archer, this makes all of the sense in the world.
Pallbearer
Pallbearer is an excellent doom metal band that hails from my state, Arkansas, and a couple of years ago they put out Sorrow And Extinction, their debut and the finest doom metal album of the year. No pressure, guys.
Opeth
My favorite band these days. I'd tell you what albums to listen to but they're all great. After the mind-blowing effort of 2012's Heritage I can't wait to see what they turn out next.
Slayer
Slayer's last album, World Painted Blood, didn't impress me like most of their discography has and I can't really put my finger on it. They suffered a major blow when one of their founding members, guitarist Jeff Hanneman, died from liver failure last year. If they come back strong on the next album, it'll be a fitting tribute to Hanneman and it'll remind me why they're the finest thrash metal band on the planet. I've also got this sinking feeling that it may be their last album (they're not getting any younger, guys).
D'Angelo
Actually this one hasn't been confirmed but fuck: PUT THIS ONE OUT ALREADY!!!
That's all I can think of right now. Currently I'm listening to Alcest's Shelter and it is just gorgeous prog metal. Have a good night and keep warm.
