I hope Arkham City doesn't glitch on me if I dl on Steam, sorry man.
I really want to play RDR some day too.
I have roughly the same feelings about weather.

I'm really bad about committing to this. The last 2 days have been more work heavy and I didn't have a lot to add other than "I hate school sports and working in horribly cold temperatures. Wah".
Gaming wise, I ran into a nasty snag with Arkham City on the 360. I'm guessing this is a glitch or a flaw with the game disc but there's a mission where you have to locate and disable communication disruptors so you can bypass security systems in a building where The Penguin is holding Mr. Freeze. On the last one, I ran into this problem: one of the disruptors is in the subway section, east of the building, but the only entrance to it is blocked by a gate. I looked up faqs and some gameplay footage and even googled about my problem but no one else seemed to have this problem. I tried turning off the system and back on: the gate was still there. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game: the glitch was still there. Finally I threw my hands up, uninstalled the game and now I plan to get rid of this copy and buy another, preferably the GOTY (which one can get for $20 at most places, like Wal-Mart). I'm kinda bummed. I wish it was a side-mission (it isn't) because otherwise I'd ignore it.
To feel better, I booted up an old favorite of mine, Red Dead Redemption (also 360). No, I haven't finished the game but this is a case where I don't want to. It took some time to get readjusted to the controls but once I did I was reminded what made this game so great. I'm still shitty at horseshoes but that's the truth in reality, too.
I'm convinced it was an issue with my game disc. After all, it was used (purchased from Gamefly). I don't think you'll have a problem and being that yours is a PC game, it'll be easier to fix.
RDR is so good. I've put 12+ hours into it since I picked it up a few days ago.
Working in the cold is definitely a different experience. My dad worked bridge construction and was usually one of the guys who never got laid off in the winter because he was so good at what he did. When he'd get home, he'd crank the heat up. On Sundays, my brother and I would go over and have Sunday dinner with him, and my brother never understood why he kept the heat at 75, but I did. When you're cold most of your waking hours, it's nice to be toasty for the few you don't have to be.
BaD isn't about quality, it's just about posting something every week day. When we'd get stuck in preious years, we'd resort to cute cat pics, and it's become a running joke. That's why homelessrook is posting cat pics every day.
