Linked to Article Series: Blog a Day (BaD) 2014

I was extremely busy yesterday.  I worked some extra hours in the morning and was planning to relax the rest of the day only to find all that relaxing free time taken up by other things.  I ended up visiting my wife's grandmother in a nursing home, went to the in-laws and played some table games and watched Les Miserables.  The movie was amazing.

I did miss out on writing a blog yesterday, so this would technically be my eighth entry.  I like tying the BaD entry number to the date, so that is how I am going to handle it from here on out.  Hopefully that is okay.

On Friday I had the opportunity to start Rune Factory 4.  I put about an hour into it before I had to shut it off due to slowly shutting eyes.  I was a little disappointed but only because the game was taking so long to set me free to do what I want.  The slow opening of the game doesn't really surprise me, because there seems to be a lot going on in the game.  They probably don't want to turn you loose too soon only to become frustrated with poorly explained mechanics...

I am also having a small N64 craving at the moment.  I seem to be having a slight ADD problem with my gaming desires.  I think that with all of these extra blogs flying about the site I am getting a lot of inspiration to play a lot of different games.  I want to go back and play a bunch of PS2 games, DS games, RPGs, Wii games, and now N64 games.

Which Les Miserables did you watch?

The one that came out last year or something with Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.  I had seen it on stage years ago.

Gamer ADD, I am extremely familiar with that affliction.

It has been getting worse this past year.

I agree, Les Miserables was amazing. I honestly didn't mind Crowe's singing anywhere near as much as everyone else did, although I'm not a fan of his rock band.

Did not know that he had a band, do not think that I am going to check that out.

I get a little like that whenever I don't have a new game to play. I'd start picking games at random and by the time I'm done, I have a nighmare of a time trying to remember where I left off.

That is exactly why I prefer sticking with one game at a time.  Then I never have to worry about what do I have to do next.

Yeah, Les Miserables is great. I've had an urge to play a 360 game lately. Haven't fired that thing up in a while.

neither have I, but that is because I no longer have one in the house.  I swapped with my brother because mine is infinitely better, but he hasn't had an opportunity to actually swap them out because he had another kid a month or so ago.

I've been wanting to play Persona 3 FES (PS2).  It's one of my favorite games and I hadn't played it in years.  I saw it for sale on PSN and bought it.  I'll probably end up playing it soon.

I really liked the 1998 version of Les Miserables. I honestly never understood that musical until I watched the movie - and our class went to live show a long time ago!

I got my wife the Blu-Ray of Les Miserables for Christmas as she's a huge fan of the book and play. We haven't got around to watching it yet but i'm glad to hear it's great. Means I won't have a boring evening on the couch Smile

I have those cravings for the N64 off an on these past few months. Then I realize it's in the basement right now where it's COLD.

I can safely say chose cravings die the moment I feel  the chill.
