This year has been a crazy year for video games. Many blockbuster titles came out, which only added to the insane list of games that I already own. I played a ton of them, and managed to finish a good amount of them too. My backlog still grows by the month, but this year I completed a great amount. Im just gonna run down a few games I finished, and also mention a few that I almost got through, which I may try to get around to in 2012. Anyway lets start this off!

PS3: Ive had the PS3 for a little over a year and a half now and I've gotten to play a good amount of the gems for the system. This year I finished:

Infamous, Infamous 2, Heavy Rain, L.A. Noire, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, and Resistance: Fall of Man. Not bad. I wish I could have gotten to Resistance 2 and Rachet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, but those can wait. I just got Team Ico Collection for Christmas so im looking forward to getting into that in 2012.

Xbox 360: *sigh* I have soooooo many games for 360 and a ton of them I still havn't gotten to them. For every 3 or 4 games I have finished I still have 1 that I have backlogged and it sucks...since there always is something on the horizon. That said, I still finished a good amount of games.

This year I finished, Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, Bastion, MvC3 (by getting all of the Achievements I might add), UMvC3...sorta, and (I think) Assassins Creed 2. There are a few Honorable Mentions however, like Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Beyond Good and Evil HD which I just started playing recently, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution which I played a few hours of, and put down because of school and such. Hopefully during the January dry spell I can finish at least Assassins Creed and BG&E, and hopefully do a last minute run through of Mass Effect 1 and 2 before 3 comes out in March.

Wii: Oh...poor...poor Wii. Im pretty sure that this year there are 2 Wii games that I managed to finish, and those games are The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Okami. Its sad too, because I do still have a ton of fantastic games backlogged on the Wii, but I spent a lot of time catching up on my PS3 games. I finished a good chunk of Donkey Kong Country: Returns and I still plan on finishing it. I still have Kirby's Epic Yarn to play, along with Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and Mario Galaxy 2. Not to mention I still have yet to pick up Kirby's Return to Dreamland...but all of the games I mentioned have proven to be loved so I'm excited for the time when I get back to them.

DS/3DS: It was a pretty great year for handheld gaming. Starting with the original Nintendo DS, the only game I finished this year was Pokemon Black, but I started both Radiant Historia and Okamiden. Both games are pretty awesome, and I do want to finsh them eventually, but they got kind of shelved when the 3DS came out. For 3DS, I've managed to complete all of the games I own for it, which are Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. SSF4 doesnt really have anything to "beat" aside from Arcade mode, but if that counts then I finished that as well. I have the Ambassador downloaded titles as well, and have started LoZ: Minish Cap and started playing Metroid Fusion again as well but I cant fully count those.

I think I did ok this year. Still tons of games to play, still a lot that I havn't gotten to, but I'm looking forward to it. Its not gonna be easy because of the already growing list of games I HAVE to play this year, like Mass Effect 3, Tales of Graces f, and lets not forget about the Wii U and its mysteries. Anyway, with that 2011 was a great year in gaming, and I cant wait to see what 2012 really has to offer.
