BaD #10: Stirred, not shaken

I am beginning to worry that I am not going to make it to the end of the month with the Blog a Day challenge. Hopefully I will be able to, but at this moment I would not count on it. I will probably have a different outlook tomorrow.

There is nothing new to actually report. I have not played a game, outside of cookie clicker, since Friday when I played a bit of Rune Factory 4. I have been collecting up some games for my nephew. I picked up Star Fox Command, WarioWare Touched, WarioWare D.I.Y. and FF Chocobo Tales. I am not quite sure why I picked up Chocobo Tales, but it was cheap so even if it is crap I won't feel too bad. I also ordered a copy of Scurge: Hive. I just remembering hearing that Scurge is a Metroid inspired game that was released on both the GBA and DS. I am looking into acquiring a copy of the Zelda games for the DS from my brother. I have little desire to spend the money that Gamestop, or the internet is asking for the game. If I can't acquire the games I have a backup idea or two.

On a side topic, I have been craving Martinis recently. Can't quite say why outside of the fact that gin is my favourite spirit and Martinis are the perfect expression of why gin is so wonderful.

I'm so spoiled - I have several independently owned gaming stores within a 30 minute drive of my house. And they all have reasonable prices.

As for beverages, I'd really like a nice glass of a good single malt right now.

I loved Chocobo's Tales. However, that's because I'm all for putting the cute back in Final Fantasy.

WarioWare D.I.Y. was my Game of the Year for 2010. I even won one of Nintendo's game making contests with it!

I mostly just drink water. i'm pretty boring, I know.

Not sure I know what gin tastes like. I should probably find out at some point. Thanks for giving me something new to try :-)

There are plenty of people who hate gin because they think that it tastes like christmas trees. Juniper berries are used to flavor gin and they are piney, so it gives that christmasy flavour.

Ever since my favorite local place to buy games closed shop a few years ago Gamestop's pretty much the only game in town aside from a good Amazon deal now and again.

There is one other option around here, but I don't really like that store and the prices aren't altogether that different than Gamestop's. The other issue there is that they don't specialize in just games.

No one would hold it against you if you were not able to make it thru BaD. I know I didn't make it =(

Never tried a martini. Too afraid I'll have one and not be able to stop. They might be like lay's potatoes chips for all i Know!
