Well guys it was a long weekend, my daughter had her first dance competition, she and the other girls in her company did awesome.

On another note, I really have been struggling with the rejection from that stupid job. I use to be very important in my field but since my retirement I am feeling really down. I have my wife and kids to keep my up and going but everything else I kind of want to say "Fuck It". I did play some Chirma today on my 3DS ( the DS version ), I want it on my Vita, but I am waiting to catch it on clearance. Anyway, maybe I can do some gaming on the PS3 or 360 tomorrow...

I know what you mean. in 2000 I quit a job as a Senior IT consultant for a large Canadian Bank because I thought I could do better. It didn't work out too well.

I just keep on keepin' on though. I won't give up and neither should you.

What hurt me, was all mt certs were out of date, but the job would pay to have them redone. So they hired somebody with them still.

Employers place too much emphasis on certification. certification does not equal expertise/experience. It's the internal fire and the can-do attitude that makes a great employee.

I'm not sure why companies don't see that. Hard skills are trainable, soft skills you either have or you don't.
