BaD #07: Possible Pre-Birthday MyBuys

Hello all. Sadly I can’t blog or do much of anything at the moment. I have to get up early for work so my time is once again limited. The most I’ve been able to do is prepare for possible chances to upgrade various pieces of tech I own for my upcoming birthdays.

I’m sure for many tech heads out there; I don’t seem to be fully satisfied with my set ups be it with my games, computing or communications. So far I’ve been narrowing down the options for future purchases to the following items.

Dual MicroSD to MS PRO DUO Adapter: I read up on here about from a blog (Don’t remember whose. I’m sorry for that.) on here about this being a cheaper alternative to upgrade your PSP’s memory capabilities. So I decided to see about giving it a try. According to some reviews off of Amazon.com it sounds like you can use 2 32GB MicroSD cards on your PSP, though officially it sounds like the PSP can only handle 32GB altogether. Still debating if I should just try for the 2 16GB MicroSD’s or experiment with the 2 32GB ones.

Microsoft system repair: I think I might finally get around to see on getting my Xbox 360 Elite fixed, if only to either sell it off for some extra cash. But I wouldn’t be upset if MS decided my system was too far gone to repair and just swap me a E Model Unit. Either way I’d finally get that system working again. Though it might be nice to sell it off I could give it to my “Little One” and put her’s down in the basement or for me to keep the fixed unit and sell off my “COD:MW3” themed console.

Bluetooth earpiece for cellphone: “Teh Wife” doesn’t like me talking while driving (though it is legal to do that in Nebraska, Suck it Connecticitia!) so I figured I’d once again see about trying to find one for my “dumb” phone. I mostly want to find one that will let me connect to two phones at once, while at the same time not be too technologically advanced that it can’t work with my “dumb phone”. I’m not having much luck in finding one that’ll fit my needs. It would be nice if I could use it on my PS3 as well but I don’t want to push it.

That’s all I got for now. I don’t notice a change today with my beard but that could be just the lighting. So far so good!

Wise “BaD” Message of the day: The movie “Million Dollar Baby” is not about black market baby smuggling. Who knew!

Million Dollar Baby is sad. As for tech, I wish I had a good video camera. Just don't use your bluetooth in public restrooms, that still confuses me while urinating.

Hope you get the XBOX fixed. Nice beard.

That's another thing I need to look into. I need a decent video camera for video moments and possible Vblogging.

I've yet to use my headset in the bathroom so thanks for the advice.

As for the Xbox 360 repair...well....

that would have been my blog. :)

I have a single 32 GB SD in a Pro Duo shell. Works great in my PSP. I might try 64 if I can find one cheap enough.

Yes! It was yours! thanks for that! I actually tried some experimentation but ended up going the 16 x 16gb route. I've never felt so much memory on my PSP 3000! Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't have done it without your link!

I only upgrade when I absolutely have to, but I try to keep an eye out for any potentially useful bits of info so I have some clue as to what to do when the time comes.

A good stance but I like to get it done before I really need to because usuallyw hen I really need to is when I don't have the money to do the upgrade.

I"ll share more later in a future "MyBuys" blog.
