So I just finally beat Pokemon Pearl for the DS. I have had it since it came out and never really got into it even though I am a huge fan of the series. Did it all with a super under powered team too. Like they were 20 levels under and the only elemental advantage was over the fire guy. Me being an idiot too, I saved right before I faced the Pokemon Champion so I had no choice but to beat her with this team.

So I finally did and I can move on to the next handheld game. Yay one more game out of the backlog. I can't believe this game has been sitting there for so long and I was at the Elite Four. I was quite impressed with my skills actually in beating them with my weak pokemon. Lots of revive and full restores. It was a tough battle. All 5 battles took me 2 hours. At least I got to watch two episodes of Star Trek. Oh yeah that's a new thing too, I am watching Star Trek: The Next Generation now. Season One has started off strong. First couple episodes in and I am super hooked.

The only other DS game I have is Chrono Trigger so I will probably start that. I will probably do some post game stuff in Pokemon but just for a bit. I honestly enjoyed it as a Pokemon game but how it ranks among them, I did not find it did all that well. I still prefer the classics. Well thats all for tonight.

I actually saved in an inconvenient place in Blue as a kid that a strategy guide I was using more or less told me I fucked myself doing and could not beat the game (at least how I read it). I had worked to get to that point for a long time, so I actually got pretty upset (not Tosh.O World of Warcraft remote up his butt upset, but pretty damn upset) and I quit the game. Now, I can't find my copy anywhere in my parents' house, at least last time I was there, and I really want to beat it. If I can't find it or my Game Boy Color (there is a Gameboy original there, but its batteries looked like Grimer, and my older brother may have taken it anyway, since I think it was his), I may just buy FireRed on GBA, which I just learned existed since Game Grumps are playing it.

Congrats on Pearl! Hopefully, I'll finish the one Pokemon game I ever truly started as more than a rental (rented Yellow once, don't count the addictive Pinball, which I own).

Pokemon Pinball kicks ass. I also love Pokemon TCG for the color, it was awesome. Yea Pokemon games can kinda screw you like that. I lost once against the champion hardcore and I was like I am in remote up my butt situation here. But I was able to rally and somehow win with the wrong elemental match-ups and just underpowered. I have never played FireRed but it seems that they fixed a lot of issues that the Originals had. Its hard when you save game is messed like that, if it didn't workout like that is 60 hours almost down the drain. Like I could die and grind a lot more but I had lost a lot of money buying potions that I don't think I could bounce back without restarting the game.

Yea I was so into the card game. It was awesome. I don't think it really has changed that much. And yea it is Ash's Squirtle. He has the cool looking blade sunglasses. He is freaking awesome.

Reminds me I should atleast finish the Elite Four on my copy of Pokemon Diamond. I left the game at Victory Road.

Victory road was a bitch in this game. I wish there was a way to speed up the commands and actions. It just seems like the Pokemon battles go so slow compared to other games.
