I had a mage in my party to enchant my weapons, bows and swords, which made combat easier. The game is a bit hard at the beginning when you venture outside the city. You just have to have the right party and pick away at the nearest enemies to level up. I still think leveling is easiest when you complete quests. There are missions available in the capital at the Inn, Pub, Pawn house. There are some posted in that training camp where you fight the hydra thing. Then you have to keep checking for more quests after you've completed them. So that's my advice. Mage for enchantments, do easy quests, slowly pick away at surrounding enemies. Also, learn and add combat skills at the Inn. They help your combat a lot. If you have a warrior there's an abilitiy that allows you to carry more weight. It's very useful. But I don't think any role can have tha ability.

Well I can honestly say without a doubt theres at least 101 ways to die in this game, I have been playing since 4:00 & I have been beaten to death by Ogres, threw off a cliff by a ogre, hit with a giant club by a giant died instantly, grabbed on to a griffon got dropped to my death, fell off a cliff, got ate by a school of fish, mangled by a group of lizard men, swallow hole by a giant, executed by a band of rouges, got crushed by a boulder, got swarmed by way to many harpies and slaughtered, had a bridge gate crush me, killed by something in the dark still not sure what the hell happened there, and the list could go on a 101 times but I think you all get my drift. Oh and by the way this game is brutal not only does it let you have the freedom to go where you want, take my advice DONT!! this game will pat you on the head, send you on your merry little way then step on you grind you into the dirt and hand your ass to you on a plate. kick ass game but unless you have a plan, your a dead man walking, now I understand where the comparison to darksouls comes from lol.
