BaD #10 Late Valentine

So I missed Friday. My girl wanted to spend all day with me and so it was challenging with classes and practice to be able to blog. Even today it was hard do anything because we had our second Valentines Day. I don't know why we decided to make it two days but it happened. She doesn't cook so she wanted to cook me dinner so that was my gift which the meal turned out pretty well. I got her some jewelry and all in all it was a very successful first valentines day for us.

Apparently, my family gives gifts for Valentines day too. My sister got me a game out of no where. So I had to run out and get her something because I felt bad. I got her the TMNT movies from the 90s. The first two are awesome and then they weirdly go back in time and it doesn't make sense. They are classics though. The opening fight seen in the second movie is awesome and it has Vanilla Ice, how isn't that a 90s classic.

She got me Adventure Time: Ice King Stole Our Garbage. Which is an awesome game. I heard pretty good things about it but I started playing it today and I am about 60 percent through it. I just couldn't put it down. It plays like Zelda 2: Adventure of Link but I never played that game so I wouldn't be able to compare the two. But the combat is fun and the side scrolling platforming is solid. There is some backtracking but not a lot of it and there is some depth but nothing to extreme. It is the perfect game for me right now though. It is simple and just a lot of fun. I like all the references to the show. Love the show. How it is not on Adult Swim and TV-MA boggles the mind haha.

Other than that, I have been just laying around the crib, resting my Achilles and groin. I have a big competition next weekend so I am just trying to relax and recover. I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines Day and the weekend so far. There is some good gaming to be had and I know I am having some here. I am really into my portable systems right now. My 3ds is king while my PSP is waiting its turn. If I can beat Adventure Time soon, I'll move on to Patapon on the PSP and maybe I will treat myself to a 3ds game.

Just an overuse injury. I have been getting into crossfit while I am doing track. So I try to do two, three workouts a day and its just a lot on my body. If I would rest more than it would be fine but I have trouble sleeping and getting to bed at a decent hour.

Yeah, that's why I'm probably gonna stay away from CrossFit.

Yea crossfit can be really dangerous if people are not at the correct fitness level or aren't taught properly. They have good ideals and philosophies but I think it just is misinterpreted.

Yea it was quite enjoyable. That was like the single greatest song of my childhood. That and the Pokemon theme.

I love the original TMNT movie. I watched that so many times as a kid that I had every single line memorized. It still holds up. WAY better than the cartoon anyway.

I love them even today. The action is good and the jokes are still funny. I just love their obsession with Pizza. The cartoon movie one was just ugh. I can't believe they did that. And the one coming out, the turtles look weird to me.

I haven't kept up with the newer stuff. I don't have cable so whenever I go visit a friend I try to watch Adventure Time on their tv. Usually I get re-runs though.

That Adventure Time game is very good. WayForward made it. Right now I'm reviewing an Adventure Time card game for iPad based on the episode: Card Wars.

Card Game??? That sounds amazing. I can't wait for your review then. I love card based games. If done right they are epic but there are few good ones. Hearthstone is the only card based game that I have heard of in recent memory that is really good.

I have all three Patapon games now. I've played the first one but I really can't wait to dig into the next two. Love the art style and gameplay of the Patapon games.

I heard they are epic games. The second one is suppose to be really good. But the first one I am excited to dive into. Isn't it like a RPG War Rythem game.

Yea, there's a rhythm element to it. I had thought 2 and 3 were downloads only but one day I was at Walmart and they had boxed copies on sale, so I grabbed them.

Oh snap thats pretty good. Yea today I am going out and about to see if I can find a good game deals to add to my everlasting backlog. I told myself I wasn't going to for a while but I can't resist.
