Hi. Your blogs are cool and so are you.
I don't know any game I'd want to master. I'm just happy being able to play them.

Sorry this post is a bit late today. I've been enthralled by this awesome piece of Street Fighter 3rd Strike footage, showing the best of Japanese Urien player RX. Its an amazing testament of how complex the game is 15 years later (Yes, 3rd Strike is 15 years old). That's what's today's topic is: What game do you want to master? What game do you want to practice to understand it fully? It doesn't have to be something competitive. Say like, Dark Soul for instance. For me, games like Capcom vs. SNK 2, 3rd Strike, USF4, Skull Girls Encore, and Tekken. So what about you?
League of Legend and DOTA 2 come to mind, but I don't want to invest that much time into anything. I think games like the Demon/Dark Souls games can be very fulfilling and rewarding if you practice enough. Taking down bosses and opening new areas feels really great.
Like Cary, I'm just happy playing my games even though I am pretty good at most of the games I play. But if I had to pick something, it would probably be Pokemon, at least on the breeding and competitive side. I mean I've been playing those games all my life but I never truly mastered those 2 things. Well at least I completed the Pokedex 3 times.
Funny you should bring this up. Last night I was looking up the definition of "Master" as it's used on Backloggery. They mean it to be some way you've played the game that is special or especially difficult like doing Dark Souls with no weapons. I went through my list and removed everything but one game, Wizardry 1 done in 25 hours (howlongtobeat.com says it's 35 hours, so I guess this is a "speed run" although that's not much of a difference).
I'd like to play Destroy All Humans 2 in some special way like a speed run. Speed runs are cool and in doing them, you really learn a game's ins and outs.
