An unemployed ninja is a fake homeless person, right?
Sounds like the type of whacky Japanese video game story I tend to go for.

What could be worse than an unemployed ninja? Izuna is a dungeon crawler that has some great humor and characters. Here's the story: Izuna and her ninja clan are looking for a place to settle down after their old master kicked them out of his castle. They finally settle into a village, but then one of the ninjas wanders off and Izuna ends up offending the gods of the village, causing everyone to act strangely. Now Izuna has to go into the shrines of the gods and set things right. The game plays similarly to a rogue-like, with turn-based battles and treasure and loot to be found. There are six gods in all, each with their own unique personality and powers. The cast of the four unemployed ninjas are really funny too. The game also has some great music! This is one ninja game with a lot of charm.
