So today was pretty laid back. I did a little reading of my textbooks. I had a pretty chill practice and took a nap. Sometimes I wonder where the days go by because I really don't do all that much in the day.

I played some Borderlands 2 tonight. I had bought the Psycho Pack and played a couple hours with my new character when it first came out. I was waiting for him for so long. Then I think I got addicted to Dark Souls and down the rabbit hole it was. Anyway, played him tonight and he is a pretty low level with really crappy guns. I don't usually check and buy from the vendors in loot heavy games but some the better stuff can be gotten from them. Surprise Surprise. All that Diablo 2 over the years apparently taught me nothing.

For some reason the game is a lot harder than I remember. I think it has something to do with the character class. My first playthrough I used Maya the Siren and her ability pretty much freezes enemies in the air and hurts people around them. I pretty much just spammed that ability if I got into a tight spot. The Psycho's ability is pretty much close quarters and has a gigantic blade. Well he also is into having shield regen delays and such so. I am finding that the character classes or at least the Psycho has a much deeper skill tree than Maya did. So I might have to go back and reconfigure the tree. It is quite the interesting thing.

Other than that. I was just playing it because I can just have fun and listen to my class lectures while actually paying attention to them. Thanks KnightDriver for reminding me of how awesome Borderlands 2 is. It might be the game to play for a while. I want to start something I haven't played yet just so my little series has a good kicking off point and mystery. Who knows. I sure don't.

I wish I can join the Borderlands club, but it seems that a key that runs the first game is lost and I can't play the game and even others in the forums are having the same problem.

Hope to ask Steam in a few days what the hell is happening.

Damn, Yea it is definitely worth checking out. That has always been an issue with pc gaming with me when I get the hard copy of a game is the keys. When I was little and didn't even pay attention to those things and now they are lost when I try to come back to some of the games I played as a kid.

I like that you can respec your skill tree for a fairly cheap price. I wish I could jump around to the different character classes though. I'm not satisfied with the Assassin class, but I'm not losing all my experience to start up a new one, at least not until I've done everything I can with him. The Psycho was my second choice and I'd like to try that one. Also I'd like to get the DLC for the Mechromancer and check that one out too.

It is a feature that allows you to never feel like a decision is permanent and game ending. Like in Diablo 2 before they patched it, you mess up the skill tree and you pretty much had to make a new character. Here all the skills feel relevant and can be switched between to create a ton of different type of sub-classes.
