Goodbye February!

I really hate the month of February. About the only thing good about it is BaD. It's the ass-end of winter, too many bad memories, and the point when I'm flat broke and know my first paycheck won't be until mid-April. Blah!

On to happier things: Amazon finally shipped my copy of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles late last evening. I probably won't get it until the middle of next week, though. But something to look forward to. I think I'm done with Xillia for a while. I do want to play through and see how much Milla's story differs from Jude's, but I don't feel driven to do it at this point. I may just see how fast I can go through the main story using my bad-ass Devil weapons that I unlocked in the bonus dungeon after I finished Jude's story.

Cary asked me what my favorite Tales characters were in a previous blog. I'm not really sure, but it did get me to thinking about some of my favorite RPG characters. Many of them are the sidekicks - Yangus from Dragon Quest VIII, Palom and Porom from FF IV, Poco from Arc the Lad, Lavitz from Legend of Dragoon, to name a few. Main characters would be Kaim from lost Odyssey, Yuri from the first two Shadow Hearts games, and Alex from Lunar Silver Star Story are the three that immediately come to mind. Some day when I have more time, I'll sit down with my games and do a more in-depth blog about my favorite characters, but for now this will have to do.

Well, it's been fun blogging with everyone this BaD. Now it's back to one or two a week for me.

I like Yangus too. I really want to replay that game but on a handheld of some sort.

And I went out and bought a Game Boy Player for my Game Cube so I could play my handheld games on console, lol.

I'm gonna be doing MaD myself. I think. Maybe.

A lot of my favorite characters in general are side characters, usually humorous ones/comic reliefs, so I feel you on the sidekicks, Tami.

I don't really feel too much one way or the other about February, but I'm glad winter is almost over. Not cause of the weather, but because of my heating bill. I'm hoping for a rainy spring starting in my birthday month!

Tales of Symphonia, FFIV, Legend of Dragoon, and Shadow Hearts 2. I have all these games and hadn't played them. I started Lost Odyssey a couple times and hadn't made it more than a hour into the game. I played Dragon Quest VIII, but didn't finish it.

Hooray for Palom and Porom! I also like Kain and Cid from FF4. Other favorites include Terra and Kefka from FF6, Frog and Ayla from Chrono Trigger, Tifa, Cait Sith, and the red doggy from FF7, Vivi and Steiner from FF9, and Grune from Tales of Legendia.

Yangus is one of my favorite RPG characters too, along with Ragnar from DQIV and Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia.

I found Lloyd quite obnoxious at the beginning, but he grew on me as the game progressed.
