I wonder if I'd like Civilization or not. 

Civilization is awesome, Joe! Granted, the console version is "Civilization for Dummies", but it's good for a quick(er) game than the PC versions.

Given that it's a strategy game, I'll probably need an actual "For Dummies" book for even the console version. 

It's one of the easiest strategy games out there, Joe. If I can play and win, you can play and win. I'm terrible at most strategy games.

I bought a game called Metal Marines on PC as a kid (had my parents buy really), simply cause the back cover had an awesome game over screen of a robot exploding. My brother played it way more than I did.

I agree. It's a very simple game compared to the PC Civ. Simple but fun and the higher difficulty levels are hard if you want a challenge. I love it.

I do, too. Which is why I hve it for both the DS and the 360 :)

Yea, the DS version is supposed to be great too. I remember "E" on Major Nelson's podcast raving about it all the time. I'm going to have to pick that up.

Thank goodness I didn't buy Civilization awhile back when it was on sale. The last version I've played was on the original Playstation, and this one looked interesting enough to pull me back.

I don't know if Dungeon Defenders is my speed, but I'll give it a try anyways because it will be free!

I'm interested in Civ but I already have Dungeon Defenders on PS+. Not that I won't download it lol

CivRev is one of my favorite console games from the past generation, I still play that all the time. Sid Meier and his team built it from the ground up to be a strategy game on a console and it turned out super good. Slick, easy to pick up and learn, and super replayable.

I have Civ Rev on disc but I got it as download as well. Can't have too much of it. Great game!
