Hello, all. Just another tiring day for me, so this will be another quick one. I just wanted to ask people what PC games are good to play. I've had a new laptop since the end of November and I've been itching to play some new PC games on it since it can run them. Unfortunately, most of the games I have bought are console favorites or still in my que on Steam that I haven't downloaded yet. That's not to say I haven't tried to play some PC games that I wanted to play. I've tried to play Team Fortress 2 on my laptop, for example, and loved playing it...until I got online. I don't know what was going on but as soon as I got online, everyone was super laggy. I think it had to do with the fact that I was using WiFi instead of a hardline connection. I ended up uninstalling it because of that which sucks because  I loved playing TF 2 on PS3 and wanted to try out Mann Vs. Machine. So, I turn to you guys. What PC games are out on Steam, GOG, or some indie spot that are worth playing?

do you like Tactical RPG's?  if so check out Banner Saga.

If you like weird survival games there's DayZ and Rust.

there's a lot of indie games on steam too.  If you like those, tell me what kinds u like and I will suggest some.  I keep pretty up to date on Steam games.

I'm not into tactical RPGs but I'll be damned if I don't say Banner Saga is a beautiful games. Nor Day Z or Rust because I don't like to be shanked for doing something meaningless. I guess I'm into action orinted games or something arcade like. Or alternative puzzle games sort of like Portal.

I honestly don't think I've used my laptop for anything that hasn't at least released on a console eventually. I am thinking of getting Half Life games on Steam though, which are at the very least more closely associated with PC than consoles in my mind.

Half-Life 2 is one of my favorite games ever but I've never played the first one. I think I might get Black Mesa, the fan made HD remake of HL 1.

Arcade games? I recommend Super Hexagon (it is like $2) and I had a lot of fun with Nimble Quest recently. Those are really arcadey-arcadey and not like action games.

Nimble Quest sounds really good. Retro but with a really ingenous twist. I like that!

Uh..I recently watched a video of someone playing Jazzpunk, that looked fun..~ (Unless someone already mentioned it..) But yeah it looks kinda short but fun. I also kinda think if I manage to get a new laptop I might want to get Minecraft,it looks really fun at least as a relaxing game to play to just mess around pretty much.

I've watched a Giant Bomb Quick Look of Jazzpunk. I want to get it because it so weird.

I've never gotten into PC games for some reason.  Steam looks like a pretty neat service, though, and if they ever made a Steam console, I'd be all for it (even though it would just be a PC, too).  The one Steam game that I would download instantly if I had it would be Ys Origins.  I've heard rumors that Half MInute Hero 2 is coming to Steam as well.

Much like console gaming, PC gaming has a HUGE collection of games, but if I have to choose a game that are a good way to enter PC gaming, I really recommend Portal and Cave Story.

I haven't tried Cave Story yet. I have to give it a spin.

Haven't played that many PC games other than Plants Vs. Zombies, Cave Story or Duke Nukem 3D.

Your the second person to recommend Cave Story. It must be pretty good.

Which one? The old ones or the new one?

The old ones. I like the look of the reboot, so check that one too.

I really want to play Banner Saga, Broken Age Part 1 and the alpha for Spacebase DF-9 which are all on Steam. I haven't been this excited for some PC action in quite a while and more is on the way with Wayward Manor and Clockwork Empires.
