Hey Pixlbit. It's been a while since I've posted something on here. I've just been waiting for South Park to release so I can write about it. From the very first announcement of this game, I've been anxiously waiting to play it and it's finally here! If you're a fan of the South Park show, you'll definitely love this game. For those who don't really watch it, this game is still fun, but you might not get most of the references the town of South Park has as you progress through the game.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is very similar to any RPG game out right now. You get to choose your character class and loot for items around the town. The classes you can choose are Fighter, Mage, Thief and Jew. I myself chose the Fighter class, but on my next play through I'm definitely playing as the Jew. So far I've put about 12 hours into this game and there's never been a dull moment. I've laughed every time you go into battle because of the different attacks you and your enemies have. The foul language plays a huge part in the funny factor of the game. Just like the show. The visuals of the game look exactly like the show. It really looks like you're watching an episode, but controlling a character exploring the town.

The day before the game released, there were a few articles about the game posted up. I read that this game took about 14 hours to beat. For an RPG game, 14 hours is pretty short. As I said previously, I'm about 12 hours into the game and I haven't even made it to the half way point. There are so many quests the citizens of South Park give you. If you're the type of gamer who just plays for the story then this would probably be a 14 hour game. But if you like to grind and search for items around different areas, then you can put as many hours as you want into this RPG game.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a great RPG. I'm not going to say it's the best one I've played, but it's up to those charts. Well Pixlbit, that's all for my first impressions. Hope everyone has a great week!

I would love to play this but my game this month is FFX.  Maybe I will buy Dark Souls 2 though.

Thats why I loved Kingdoms of Amaular, It was so fucking massive and soo much content. I call bullshit on people who say they conquered that game in 2 days. By conquered I mean beat everyhing. There was too much to do for it to take 2 days, Hell I still wasnt through with the second DLC when I had to sell it. I def plan to grab this once I own a PS3 again.

Yeah there's no way anyone can beat that game within 2 days. I haven't passed it because there were so many quests. Including the DLC. I traded in my 360 copy because it was free on PS+ a while back.

To give you some insight - the review copies for the game went out on Friday, meaning that the media only had a few days to play the game through and to write up their review. As a result, I think they all took the critical path through the game and didn't expend much time enjoying the ambiance and all the quests.

I'm about 15 hours in and there's still no end in sight. I've completed all of the side quests thus far and I just surpassed the section with the underpants gnomes. It's been an absolute joy thus far, and aside from some minor hiccups with the frame rate after a new area loads, it's been a perfect South Park experience.

I didn't know the review copies went out friday. I only read some reviews from IGN, Kotaku and other sites like those. I also didn't believe what they said about how long the game was. Maybe if you only played the story quests then maybe, but you're right about experiencing the ambiance of the game and going through the side quests.

I know what you mean about seeing no end. I'm 13 hours in and I got a whole bunch of quests just planted onto me so I just stopped there for now. It's crazy how much content there is to do in this game. What class did you start off with?
