As opposed to Fat Tuesday. I guess.

So, I did nothing but study, take my test and hang out with friends today (right now, in fact). I played Free Tetris today, so that'll be Game for today. Yeah, I know I promised you all things. I've always wanted to be a father, but I'm also a realist, so I'm trying to act in a way that will realistically predict how I will act as a dad. Fairly certain negligence is in my future, so that's how I'm doing my training.

Also, I found this website when looking up true facts about the movie Rush. Turns out, the film was pretty accurate. http://www.historyvshollywood.com/reelfaces/rush.php

Motivational Quote: If your parents are pissing you off, always remember, at least you're not Batman.

De-Motivational: You're no Batman.

I'm certainly no Batman. Only got about 34 lines just now starting in level 10, getting to level thirteen. I guess I'll go orphan myself to a circus. Is orphan a verb as well as a noun like I just used it? I don't know. I'm sad now. No calls.

                     Michael Keaton, you're no Batman.

I think Michael Keaton was the best live-action Batman.

In retrospec I think he was fine, but at the time I thought, "what the heck is Michael Keaton doing?" He's a comedian.

I thought Christian Bale was good as Batman, but not so good at Bruce Wayne.

I thought so, too.

Exact opposite for me. Except in Begins. Once that voice became more prominent in The Dark Knight .... I imagine Nolan is more to blame, but still.

yeah i agree with that. the voice was less raspy in Begins, more angry.

Mr. Bale is too thin and frail looking to be Batman. That's my thought.

I ... don't agree, unless you're mixing him up with The Machinist/The Fighter Bale, which is on the left (well, the former movie).

This is what I'm thinking of.

I actually don't know what Batman is supposed to look like or what I really want from him, but he's crazy strong, and in his suit seems to make him look much bigger than he is. I'm not saying Bruce Wayne should be a beefy monster, but I expect some weight to him, not someone who has the body type, not of a street brawler, but a lithe ninja... Yea, that's it. I want him to be a street fighter like these guys.

Screw live action. Make it animated too.

Honestly, I picture Bruce as a decent looking guy with a bit of meat on his bones and then he's in a Batman suit ... which is exactly what I think Bale looks like in those films.

I really don't think he's that far removed from Ken and Ryu there in the picture I initially posted. I'm not seeing "lithe ninja" either, he doesn't look skinny to me.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this.

It's in his face. I see a leaness that's popular these days. Zero body fat, maybe on a vegetarian diet. It's too lean for me. I think he looks a little sickly. Ya know who else's got that look in the face?

bens

Ben Stiller. Why that sunken cheek look is considered attractive is beyond me.

I see it on Stiller, but "sickly, possibly on a vegetarian" diet is not something I pick up at all with Bale's Bruce Wayne/Batman.

I seriously just cannot see what you see when it comes to that, to be honest. I think you're comparing to ridiculously oversized action heroes like 80s Rambo, but compared to the average person, Bale definitely looks a lot beefier.

Amazing fact of the day: Having babies is hereditary. If your parents didn't have any kids, chances are you won't either.

Sorry Joe, I read parents in your blog and that just popped into my head. :)

Well, they had me, so I guess I won't be adopting. You meant adopting, right? Like if they didn't adopt, I won't either?

Oh wait, I get it.

The quotes for today = hilarious.

I haven't seen Rush yet, but I've heard good things (as you can see I don't watch a lot of movies)

It's all good, I literally only watched an average of about a movie a month last year, hence why I'm getting to last year's stuff now.

I think LEGO Movie's Batman is friggin' hilarious, since those quotes put us on the topic. lol

but..but...but I AM Batman....

I've tried to be a father, but every time I try to I get a cease and desist order letter from the Vatican. Something about 'the evil ending with me" or some nonsense. i don't bother reading the whole thing but it's very werid. I mean how do they even know....
