South Park: Stick of Truth has been heavily butchered from the inside out like the hooker from Se7en because it was censored in Australia. It also doesn't come out for like 3 more days here. So, naturally, I pre-ordered the game on Xbox 360 (both of my brothers are huge south park fans, so I want them to be able to play it) and pirated the PC version so I could play the game uncensored and unraped by sexually repressed religious nazis..

Note: I have paid for the game. The only reason I used piracy at all is to get past censorship. Is this wrong in your opinion?

Also, what are your opinions on censorship in general? I for one think it's a fecal matter absorbing cunt of a tragedy that forces kittens to choke to death on it's foul glory, and denies people of their right to free speech. I think the censors themselves regularly drink from the tampons of those with yeast infections, film children being butt fucked by ponies, and are deciding what should and shouldn't be entertaining, funny, or awesome. That makes me want to rip out their bowels and hang them to death with them. Which also makes me quite sad. I think that consenting adults should be able to choose what offends them and what doesn't, and if they want to watch a man pretend to bite off the toes of orphans while watching another man and a woman fucking the ever loving shit out of each other and being quite passionate about their hardcore fisting, fingering, and general genital mashing with one another, then it is their God given right!

I love you aussies but yeah, you need to burn your bible thumping politicians at the stake as heretics! I'm not implying said rant to "good Christians" but it's safe to say religious extremism has gone a tad too far down under!

All this busy-work to censor South-Park: Stick Of Truth?! Imagine that same energy put into a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter! Just saying!

Yeah, we have Tony Abbott as prime minister, who is basically holding the country back 50 years.

But yeah, the censorship here is a total child finger bummer. Then again, I think it was censored in the states too.

I saw it.  If it was censored, they left in a lot. Laughing

I wouldn't be surprised if it was censored here too. lol. You have religous extremism but we have "political correctness". It's like religous extremism only without the religion part. Tongue Out

As much as I am anti-piracy (as evidenced by this week's Nerds Without Pants), I don't see anything wrong in this situation. As far as I'm concerned, had you bought the game on the PC in Australia and found a mod to uncensor the game it would have been the same net result. I'm as anti-censorship as I am anti-piracy, but when they are pitted against each other I'll vote anti-censorship every time.

Same here, give or take some of my more nuanced thoughts on censorship.

I just converted my ITunes songs to other file formats to get them on the station, and since someone paid for me to have those, I feel it's my right to do whatever the hell I want with them as long as I'm not making unfair profit from these possessions. Fuck if I'm gonna put up with DRM, which limits my experience comparitive to people actually foregoing payment, in lieu of just doing everything I can to get what I fucking paid for

Now in a normal case, it would be wrong of me to broadcast these songs in an effort to get ears on my radio station, but keep in mind we have the proper BMI/ASCAP etc. licenses to play pretty much any alt rock song we come across.

Well, rally a group to march on capitol hill and get things changed.

I really want the game.  I didn't know anything about it until I went to a friend's house and watched him play it.  I thought it was funny.  I wish I could get it now.  I'll try to get it in the next few months.

I don't see anything wrong with pirating a version of the game you can't get by normal means.  Censorship sucks.

I read recently there's censorship of any game with guns in it in some South American country. Maybe it was Brazil or something, I foget. They think games with guns will spark a revolution against the Government. Ha!

Though the PC version is left untouched as far as I know, The Stick of Truth was also heavily censored in Europe for consoles. Really sucks man.
