I've been a bit busy lately.  I want to game, but I hadn't had much time to do it.  I have more than a few games set up though.  As time becomes available, I put in a few mintues here and there when I can.

Games I'm Playing or Planning to play:

Mass Effect 3 (360)

I'm more than halfway through it.  Once I finish it, I hope to put Mass Effect behind me for a while.  Again. Smile

Scribblenauts Unlimited (3DS)

 photo scribblenautsunlimited_zpsfae55e92.jpg

This is the first time I really played Scribblenauts.  I have the other games, but I never really played any of them.  I just typed in words and watched whatever happened next.  I'm actually trying to get to the end of this game and I'm having fun.

Persona 3 FES (PS3)

I bought is a while back because it was on sale.  I need to play Persona 3 again like I need to play Mass Effect.  I'm only a hour or so in.  I'm thinking about quitting this version of the game and starting up with Persona 3 Portable instead on the PSP.  I'm not sure if my PSP still works.  It's been so long since I play with that thing.

Tales of Graces f (PS3)

 photo talesofgracesf_zpsb8d2788f.jpg

I put it in my PS3 and watched the opening intro.  That's it.  I plan to start playing it though.  I already have it in the machine.  That's half the battle.

Bravely Default (3DS)

I started this game and put about 3 hours in.  I wasn't feeling it, so I stopped.  When I finish with Scribblenauts, I'll go back to it.

Tekken Revolution (PS3)

 photo TekkenRevolution_zpsed8ad272.jpg

I saw this free for download so I jumped on it.  I don't know why it's free (or was free).  I played around with it a bit and it's fun.  I hadn't played against anyone online.  I just play the single player.

Ouya

I'm playing a lot with this system.  I'm doing mostly MAME right now.  I recently got an extra controller real cheap and I planning to pick up two more controllers in a couple weeks.  It won't be long before my kids and I are playing old school arcade games together, 4player.  They will love it. Surprised

Games I Bought:

Motocross Madness (360)

This game is pretty good.  I enjoy playing it with my kids.

Nights into Dreams (360)

I seriously don't remember getting this, but I have it.  I must of bought it on sale.

161-in-1 (NeoGeo MVS)

 photo 161-in-1_zps2636ada8.jpg

I got this cart for my NeoGeo cab.  It has 161 games on it.  Many of them are various versions of the KoF games.  I didn't know there were so many bootleg versions of them.  The site I bought it from didn't charge a lot either.  I picked it up under $75!  It has all the Metal Slugs (except Metal Slug 5 for some reason), all the Samurai Shodowns, both Last Blades, all the Sengokus, Rage of Dragons, Matrimelee, Mark of the Wolves, Ninja Commando, Eight Man, Mutation Nation, Pulstar, Spin Master, Aero Fighters 2 & 3, Robo Army and many other.  Sadly, it doesn't have Nam-1975, Ninja Combat, Cyber-lip, and a few others I'm looking for, but it has many of the newer and rare games though.  For the price, it wasn't a bad deal.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Wii)

I used my Nintendo points to get this for free.  I never played it before.

Games I Want to Get:

South Park: The Stick of Truth (360)

After watching my friend play this game, I really want it.  This game is too crazy for me not to own it. Laughing

Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360)

A month ago, this game was on sale for only $20 at Toya R Us.  Why didn't I get it then.  I played it a bit at a friend's house and loved it.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight (PS3)

 photo thewitchandthehundredknight_zps296e2b0e.jpg

Preordered this one a couple days ago.  I really hope this is a good game.  It looks good.  Hopefully I can finish Tales of Graces f and then start this game right after.

Pier Solar HD (I don't know what I'll get this on)

I read about this game.  It's a rpg originally made for the Sega Genesis a couple years ago.  It was a limited release.  I know a few people that have a copy.  I didn't have the funds to get one myself.  I plan to get this hd version of the game on something.  It's even being released on the Dreamcast.

Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars (3DS)

 photo conception-ii_zpsf4b784ba.jpg

It's an Atlus rpg.  I don't know much about it.  I hope it's good.

Other Stuff:

I'm doing a podcast with a friend.  He called me back in Dec. about a podcast he wanted to do with a focus on the 80s and 90s.  He was having trouble getting someone to do it with him.  I told him it sound like a cool idea and I'd give it a shot.  I really didn't think I would be able to do it with my job schedule and my family.  Mainly, my family.  Laughing  He told me about some other people that may also do it with him, so I figured I'd do a couple and one of his other friends would take my place if I couldn't do it.  Well, we've been at it since Jan. and have plans to do more.  It's on Facebook, but I don't do Facebook, so I'll put up a link to the site he's still working on. Now vs Nostalgia.  So far we've mainly done movies.  We did do a top 10 cartoons from the 80s.  It's just for fun, so don't expect any professionalism.  My friend, Jon, is great.  He works hard putting it together.  I'm just there as support.  I would like to work harder on my speech though.  Maybe I can do some speech exercises. Undecided  I have a south Louisiana accent and I come from a family that talk fast, so it may be hard to understand me at times.  My wife says I'm fine, but she's use to listening to me.  I have a hard time understanding myself and I know what I said. Laughing  Most of the time, I'm trying to slowdown my talking and be more clear.  I'm probably overthinking it.

So, what are you guys playing? Cool

South Park is indeed ridiculous and hilarious. Best Obsidian game since Kotor 2. I just started a new Mass Effect playthrough, this time on PS3. Going to do a Vanguard run again, that's my favorite class. I'll be sure to check out that podcast too, probably while doing some ME side quests.

In this lastest playthrough of the Mass Effect games, I did all the missions I could find.  Maybe it's me, but I find that Mass Effect 2 dragged on more than Mass Effect and Mass Effect 3 is dragging on more than Mass Effect 2 did.  Maybe I'm just playing these games too much. Undecided

I think the main reasons are that Mass Effect 1's side missions are really different from the main ones in that you're searching around for stuff and it's more nonlinear, while 2 and 3's are basically more shooting, though 2 mixes it up a little with the Hammerhead. Also you max your leveling a lot more quickly in 2 than 1 and a little more quickly in 3 than 2, so it stays more interesting longer in 1.

I bought the Sega Genesis version of Pier Solar. But I never opened it.  I don't have a working Genesis either.  I just wanted to have it because it's too cool.

I've been playing Xcom, Final Fantasy IX, and Tactics Ogre.  I don't know if you've played the new Xcom game (not Declassified) but it's really good.

I'd like to get an Ouya but haven't had the leftover cash. Maybe soon.

I have Tactics Ogre on the PSP.  I need to play that this year.

I never know what Xcom game to check out.  I don't know which one is the Declassified game.  I'll just have to look them all up.

i think the subtitle is "Enemy Unknown".  It's out for PS3 and Xbox and iPad.

J....P3P is better, thought not much.  If you need a psp, let me know and I'll send you my old one.  its not getting played with anyway, and has no trade value...

If you want, we could make a trade.  I have a few games just laying around.  I accidently buy extra copies from time to time.  Maybe I have an extra game that you're looking for.  I can send you a list of some stuff I can trade.  Or if you don't want anything, well..., that's fine too.  Though you are doing me a solid if you can take a game off my hands.  It's too much trouble and you get a little return from selling them. Laughing

I'll have to check out that podcast. I need to do speech exercises myself, I did an air check for shits and giggles over the weekend, and I want to stop saying "um .. " and ending sentences with ", man" so much.

Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars sounds like a B-grade sci-fi horror flick from the 70s or 80s that you could only find on Netflix now. lol

I say "yeah" a lot and a few other things.  I like to let people know I'm paying attention to what they're saying, so I nod and verbally say, "yeah" or "um-hum" in agreement.  I also laugh a lot.  I find most things to be funny. Laughing

Conception II is a funny title.  I thought it was odd and then wondered, What happened with Conception 1?  I read a bit on the game and it's interesting.  I hope it's good too.

GH says I have an accent. I don't have an accent, he does!

I'm playing Tales of Symphonia Chronicles and I just booted up Afrika, which is a photo safari game that I'll blog about later.

I really wish I'd gotten Pier Solar for the Genesis when they released it. I still have a working Genesis.

I never thought about my accent until I went away to college.  I thought I sound like anyone else on television.  The first college I went to was in north Louisiana.  They tend to speak a bit slower there.  It's more like a country accent.  It may be very similar to GH's.

Oh, I have an accent. I'm a northern New Englander through and through. It's just an on-going joke I have with GH.

You are better off waiting until you have the time to focus on Bravely Default. After a few hours I got really addicted to the game, but it is very long. Really, enjoying that though I just wish the story was decent.

Yeah, I put in a couple hours and it had that long story feel to it.  I plan to dedicate a lot of time to when I finish Scribblenauts.

Honestly, now that I've made it a bit further you might want to reconsider dedicating your time to Bravely Default. Without spoiling anything, the game basically makes you repeat the same content over and over again. I loved it for the first run through, but now it just feels like it's wasting my time.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll probably play Bravely Default along with something else.  I may move my Persona playing to the PSP.

I applaud your ability to play more than 2 games at once.  I don't know why, but I can't do that anymore.

jgusw

03/10/2014 at 06:31 PM

I can't do it either.  I play a little of each game when I can.  I try to finish one to put more focus on the others.  I just realized I forgot to put up a game.

Conception looks interesting! I also notice it sports butt...and panty shots! Totally what I look for in a good rpg! Tongue Out Joking aside, I expect it'll have a good story too. Most Atlus games do.

I didn't notice the butt and panty shots. Innocent

I'm digging that Neo Geo cart. I like trying bootleg/fan versions of games (one of my favorites is a college version of Tecmo Bowl).

I like podcasts so I'll check your podcast out. It looks like a lot of stuff my friends and I talk about.

jgusw

03/19/2014 at 07:13 AM

A college version of Tecmo Bowl.  I'll have to look for that one.

Let me know what you think of the podcast.  We're still feeling everything out.  Lately our biggest problem is that went go on tangents and run for too long.  We're making some format tweaks.

Why can't I just get my own MVS cabinet so I can play all those lovely Neo Geo titles. I'm almost broke after spending all I did on the Wii VC. Still I have no regrets. The Last Blade 1 & 2 is amazing with no load times!

jgusw

I still hadn't played the Last Blade games yet.  Sadly, I hadn't played them in years. Laughing  I'll get to them though.  Lately, I've been playing Sengoku 3 with my kids and they seem to never get tired of Bust-A-Move Again EX, which is surprising because they suck so badly at it. Laughing
