I don't think they actually save any daylight.

These are the times that I wished that I lived in Arizona.  They don't have to deal with the daylight savings crap.  In the end I don't really mind daylight savings, but I have been running on empty for the past couple weeks.  I don't really know if that means that I am currently running past empty or what.  My wife is getting her spring break in a week and a half and I am definitely looking forward to that.  We are heading down to Phoenix to visit my parents.  They have been rubbing in the fact that it is in the 80s or so down there and I am beginning to worry that I will just melt when I feel that warmth.

I tried to write a blog last week, but failed miserably.  I have been playing Alundra over the past week in anticipation of the next episode of Backloggers.  I think that I will save that stuff for whenever the episode gets posted.  Because I have been focusing on Alundra, I have put Rune Factory 4 on the backburner.  I feel a little bad about that.  Mostly because I have a sneaking suspicion that I may never pick it back up.

Plenty of potentially great games coming this week and next.  It appears that it will be about time to  dust off my PS4 and get ready for MGS and Infamous.  Hopefully I can finish up Alundra before those games come out...  yeah right.

There is one other thing that I would consider news worthy.  I signed up for twitter over the weekend.  It is quite possible that you will laugh at the reasoning for this...  I want to know when Alton Brown's second run of bowties are ready and for sale.  You may not know this, but I am a big fan of bowties.   Alton Brown seems to be a big fan of bowties as well, which is why he is working with Hook and Albert to make some bowties.  I missed the first run and am really mad at myself.  I don't want to miss them again.  So, I signed up for twitter.  I have three completely random people following me at the moment, as well as my coffee shop.  I have yet to tweet a single thing, and don't know if I ever will....  I am @pkbecker, if you wanted to know.

it has been quite nice here in Arizona.  And not having to deal with the time change is pretty cool.  though my computer can't figure it the fuck out.

Arizona for me too! We Pixlbits should start a community in Arizona on Snee's farm. You have a farm for this don't you Matt?

Just think of it. It could be a giant games development community. How freaky would that be.

I tried playing Alundra many years ago.  I thought it was ok.  I got stuck in some glitch and didn't have a previous save close enough to where I was in the game, so I just quit and never went back to it.  I later gave the game away to a friend.

It is pretty fun so far.  There are a couple of things that I really wish the game had.  Like an overworld map...

I just added Alundra to my wish list. I'd like to hear about your play of it.

How far in Alundra have you gotten? I got distracted by all my Tales games and need to get back to it at some point.

Don't get me started on Daylight Savings Time. I hate it, it wreaks havoc with my internal clock, and I HATE getting up in the dark and it was just starting to get light out at a reasonable time, too.

I am heading into the Desert of Despair.  That is all I know.  I am a little surprised at how despressing the game is up to this point.

I'm about at that point, too, I think.

I think Daylight Savings Time is a stupid throwback from a bygone era and no longer makes any sense if it ever did to start with. Hey how about getting up an hour earlier instead of changing the clocks. Whether the clock reads 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM is Irrelevant.

I like Alundra but have never really come close to finishing it.

I actually hate it more when it falls back and we gain an hour.  At that point I would have an hour of sunlight when I get off of work, but go into work when it is dark out.  When it goes into effect I end up losing all daylight for a month or so.

I can only imagine that you squeed when you saw Matt Smith's Doctor Who because of the bowtie.

Matt Smith was one of the catalysts that pushed me towards bowties to begin with.  The other major factor had to do with my impending wedding and my desire to wear something a little more unique.  I had attended a fair amount of weddings the year before I got married, and nobody wore a bowtie.

If I remember, I'll add you on Twitter, but I'm trying to go easy on social media for Lent. I'm not Catholic, but I would like to get rid of certain habits.

Bowties are cool.

Here in Texas, the weather keeps changing. Was damn cold and overcast yesterday, looking warm and sunny today. Too bad we have to move that stupid hour forward. I was asleep after doing some rather lenghty and tedious homework for my professor's research, so I didn't feel it or notice the difference, but I'm retroactively pissed off about it. Can we just set the clock back and leave it there, or better yet, just set the clock back every once a few months and never forward? That'd be nice.

I haven't used social media in years.  I never really had a use for it, and I guess that I don't really have now either.  I could find all the information that I need elsewhere, but I know that on twitter I will know exactly when those ties launch and will be able to get some right away.

For me, Twitter is for reading news headlines and seeing what I may want to read full articles to, and for updating the radio station Twitter, which in turn updates its Facebook.

Facebook is for chatting with geographically distant friends, seeing what everyone is up to, and playing games online.

I have a Twitter @JERandolph. I use it in bursts. So far I haven't really done much with it.

I don't understand why Daylight Savings Time is still a thing. I do know why it was implemented in the past, but I'm pretty sure it serves no purpose now.

The only purpose that I see at this point is to let kids have an extra month of light in the morning on the way to school.  That is just a wild theory that I have.

Alundra was a great action rpg but it's a bit foggy in my mind because I have not played it in a long time. And there's nothing wrong with a bow-tie fetish. It's classy!

i think i added you. I need to double check. I've been trying to add all the people I know on my various SN sites if only to justify my use of twitter.

I personally like the daylight savings myself, it makes the fall all the more enjoyable when we "fall back' and the darkness fells like it comes much sooner!
