7 things that I would rather have...

They said that Titanfall would become a system seller. Well, it is out and I still don't want an Xbox One. So, I have decided to come up with a list of things that I would rather spend the $560 that it would cost to get Titanfall and an Xbox One.

1. The Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes PS4. It may not be coming to NA, but it is still pretty sweet looking and I would rather have a second PS4 than an Xbox One at this point.

2. 3 2DSs and 4 copies of Mario Kart 7. I want to see if my neices and nephews will be able to kick my butt in Mario Kart.

3. A 3DS XL for my nephew and all of the awesome first-party 3DS games for both of us.

4. A bigger and better TV.

5. Plane tickets to somewhere a lot warmer than Milwaukee... wait, already did that.

6. A Wii U and DKC, SM3DW, and a slew of VC games.

7. A crap-ton of the Classic Doctor Who that I do not already own... Or some more of the Big Finish audioplays.

I did just get rid of my copies of Call of Duty Ghosts and Assassins Creed IV. I didn't really mind them, but they were just placeholders in my collection. Games that would tide me over until the games that I really want to play are released. Those games are coming out next week and I have already paid off inFamous and hope to pick up MGS: GZ as well.

Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of this damn cold before I get to enjoy AZ weather.

That's quite a list of things to have instead of an Xbox One. But the One is still going to be a good system once more games release for it. With Microsoft including a copy of Titanfall with it's new bundles might make it sell better and be on par with the Ps4. I am enjoying having both.

I don't mean to hate on the Xbox One too much. I can definitely see myself picking one up in the future. Just at this point, Titanfall is not the game that will sell me an Xbox One.

I was more excited about Dead Rising 3 to be honest. I know it visually looks like "poop" when compared to Titan-fall but it looked fun and vastly improved over the previous entries!

My biggest problem with Titanfall is the fact that it is an online only game. I still like my single player experiences. There is still the possiblity that Micrsoft will be able to sell me an Xbox One, but Titanfall is not the game that will do it.

I will have to say that based on my time at Gamestop Thursday, Forza 5 blew the PS4 games I played, including FIFA clear out of the water graphically. Still, I think that's mostly cause the One was only for display and the games available on the PS4 demo included Octodad, Knack and whatever Tim Burton-looking shadow-platformer it was I played.

I'd still lean towards a PS4 or a 3DS before a One, but I wish Sony had put some more impressiv-looking games on their system. Actually, the kiosks at Wal-Mart gave me the exact opposite impression of the systems' graphic capablilities, cause Forza looked ok on the One, but the Assassin's Creed, Arkham Origins, and I think some Uncharted game's ads looked amazing on PS4's kiosk there.

Why can't these damn kiosks just all be playable and feature games I'm actually interested in?

I hear you. They never seem to let you play any of the truly interesting games. I suppose it's a money thing.

Which is exactly why I would have never considered Titanfall to be a system seller. A game needs to be actually exclusive in order to give you a reason to pick up new hardware.

A new TV would be right on the top of my list of things to get instead of Titanfall and and Xbox One. Especially considering I don't currently even have a TV that's capable of displaying HD games.

I would rather install Origin and get the PC version of Titanfall instead of an Xbox One. That's something I kept meaning to do, but still don't have the motivation to do so.

In the end, that is precisely my point. Titanfall really isn't a system seller. I am sure that it will move Xbox Ones, but not as many as if it were an actual exclusive.

I would rather spend 4 hours at the dentist having teeth pulled out without anesthetic because I find the words FPS, On-Line Only and Microsoft make me want to puke. But that's just me and FPS isn't a word. (Although it's the only one that literally makes me want to puke. lol)

I can think of a great many things I could do with $560, and none of them include buying an XboxOne. And I'm just not into FPS games, and especially online-only FPS games.

I'm with you on the VC buys. I had the cash to buy a whole new system but instead went with buying more games on my Wii's virtual console. I have no regrets. (kinda)
