We (Stephen F. Austin State University) are 31-2 and going to the NCAA!

Now I'm gonna go to a St. Paddy's Day Party at my friend's house and possibly rub it in the faces of old high school friends who went to Sam Houston, who we just beat.

This marks the second time during my college career this little Southland Conference team has made it to the NCAA Tournament, with one time in the NIT. I blogged about our one-point loss to Stanford in that NIT one ... and yeah, we've been beaten in the first round of these tourneys since I've been here, but I feel like we have a good chance to go further this year. Look at that record!

I wonder if some of the players realize I was their Assistant Hall Director when they were Freshman. lol

Motivational message: Stephen F. Austin State University Lumberjacks! GO JACKS!

Demotivational Message: Sam Houston State University Bearkats ... their "Eat 'em Up, Kats!" slogan sounds vaguely sexual in a bad way. Ew. No wonder their school is so close to Huntsville prison.

Note: I don't really care about the rivalry, I have no problem with my friends from SHSU, but hell yeah, we're going to the NCAA with a 31-2 record!

We have a new Lumberjack mascot. I'm pretty sure that pic is of the old, buff Australian guy that was there for a bit when I was starting as an undergrad in '08.

Awesome stuff, I think I have them in one of my brackets beating VCU.

In my March Madness game on the 360 I am using Sam Houston State because they had one of the lowest ratings in the game.

I have the same. Gonna watch the game on the Student Center movie screen tomorrow night.

And hahahahahhahahahahahaha yes! Screw those Bearkats My friend Philip gave me shir after we won our game against them, saying they'd stick to football. Whatever. We got a 12-seed, I'm happy.

I must've missed this back in March. I'm so behind when it comes to college basketball teams. I'm just steamed that the accursed connecticia U won this year.
