For the record, that SMB 3 playbit won't be tonight, either. It'll be next week. I have to get through World 8!
Whatever happened to those live playbits?

You may or may not be aware, but before the middle of december, I did live playbits, which is kind of like live "Let's Play," just about once a week here on PixlBIt, often on Monday nights. From the middle of the month of December, I've been busy and away from home, so I haven't been able to complete my Super Mario Bros. 3 playbit quite yet.
But that brings me to my next point: Running a live event weekly is time-consuming, difficult, and requires me to block out a big chunk of my schedule. Don't get me wrong: I enjoy playing games and everyone having fun talking about the game in question, among other things. However, I don't think there have been enough people who attend the "Live" sessions to make it worth continuing in the same form, at least not every single week. I think, given that, it's time to retool how I do the show, and focus on something that better serves PixlBit's community, whatever that may be. I'm a little stumped on the idea myself, but there's been random ideas I've seen places that could work.
Perhaps something like a gaming club with live-plays would be an idea to follow. There could be one game a month, or one game every other month, something like that, and people join together to talk about it while I also live-play it. We could switch live playbits to only occur, at least by me, when there's something particularly relevant, like the Metroid 25th Anniversary or a prerelease copy of an upcoming title hits PixlBit's door, a la Duke Nukem Forever. I'm not saying these are the only options, but I am saying I don't think I can keep this up every week, since it feels like a little bit bigger of an undertaking than PB & Jason has been.
Does anyone have any ideas, either new or used elsewhere, that they think would work well? I am open to suggestions. Hit me with them!
