I'm FINALLY getting my PS4 Tomorrow! Here are some reasons why.

I've been sold on getting a PS4 for quite some time now, and after waiting and waiting....and waiting, I've finally managed to find and secure a Playstation 4 at my job. While I won't be able to fully afford it until tomorrow, it's pretty much mine. I can't wait!

I was mainly waiting for the right titles to be announced. I mainly buy consoles based on the promise of whats to come - I bought a Wii U for goodness sake (not regrettably). Series like Uncharted, Infamous, God of War and Ratchet are reasons why I chose this system over XBO. However there are plenty of other titles on the way that have me excited to own the system. Here are a few games I'm looking forward to owning later this year:

(note, I'm excluding inFamous: Second Son, as it comes out tomorrow, but yes - I'm pretty excited for it.)

The Division

I've had my eye on The Division since E3. I'm a huge fan of Co-Op Shooters (a la Borderlands) and this seems like a ton of fun. My friends and I love playing these games in a group, and the Division looks like a good excuse to hop online and team up. Not only that, but it looks pretty incredible. Hoping Ubi doesnt pull another bait-n-switch.

Division

The Order: 1886

Now I admit I'm bummed that there is no multiplayer in the game what-so-ever. I could do without competitive multiplayer, but not having co-op kinda blows imo. That said, The Order looks really cool, and something I'm definitely gonna keep my eyes on.

WWE 2K15

Ok this one is a bit of a wild-card. There has been no official announcement, but you know its coming. I've been huge into Wrestling lately, and since I skipped 2k14, I'm really pumped to get my hands on a new wrestling game. Hopefully it boasts some gameplay refinements and new modes. And if the new UFC game and NBA 2k14 are any indicators, it could very well be the best looking Wrestling game to date. We shall see!

WWE

Watch_Dogs

I feel odd about this game. When I first saw it, I was all in. Now, months before release I'm a tad luke-warm on it. After seeing reports of downgrading and such, im fearing this game won't turn out as good as it could. Still, the game seems pretty promising, and I'm looking forward to seeing if it comes out well.

Assassin's Creed

In an odd turn of events, Assassin's Creed: Liberation turned me back into a fan of the series after the disappointment that was AC3. I still have yet to play 4 (which i hear was great) but I'm already interested to see what the next title has planned. Location will have much to do with my excitement, so hopefully its somewhere I'd be interested in exploring.

Batman: Arkham Knight

A new, next gen Batman Game by Rocksteady. Nuff Said.

Destiny

Last but not least is Destiny, what is quite possibly the game I'm looking forward to the most. As I said earlier, I'm a big fan of co-op games like Borderlands. This game looks to have the same feel, and from what I've seen this game has much fun and exploration to offer. I can't wait to explore space with my buddies, leveling up and raiding areas. The seamless co-op experience has me most excited. There will probably be scenario's where I'm with my friends and we see another party in a firefight. We can choose to help them, or just continue on our way. That kind of possibility excites me, and I'm really hoping the beta proves the concept.

Now there are a few games coming that i didnt mention, like Uncharted or the rumored Ultra Street Figher 4 port, but regardless the list is strong enough to warrant a purchase from me now. I really think that the horizon looks pretty sweet, and hopefully most of these games live up to expectations.

Lastly, feel free to add me on PSN. It should be listed in the sidebar.

Peace!

Destiny's top of my list, looks so damn great. Out of the rest, I'm definitely picking up Arkham Knight and will probably give The Division a go.

ah man, something about Destiny looks so epic. I really hope it has that grand sense of exploration that it's saying it will. I'm sure the game will have connection/server issues, but the beta will be a pretty big indicator.

I'm favoring the PS4 myself over Xbox One. Those screen shots have me really excited.

There's still nothing on the PS4 and Xbox One I want to play right now.  Xbox One had LocoCycle, but then they released it on 360 so that took care of that.  When Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out on PS4, I might get one then, but that probably won't be for another couple of years knowing Square.

I have a PS4 and am picking up inFamous later today.  I look forward to Destiny and The Order the most of the games you have listed.

I've seen some early looks at Arkham Knight stuff, it wasn't much but it was more than enough.

At the soonest I'll get a PS4 between this holiday and next summer I bet. I need to start pouring all my money into school this year and next, so I don't know how much I'll be able to invest into gaming at all, or my reading, etc.

The most interesting thing about next gen games is the setting in Second Son. I never played the first two and I honestly don't care about the game or the action, it doesn't look particularly up my alley, but the fact that they apparently tried so hard to recreate Seattle makes me want to play it as a tour guide of the city. Once I'm done with these calculus, physics, and computer science classes at our community college I'm planning to apply to DigiPen in Redmond outside of Seattle. If I end up getting accepted I'll obviously move out there to live, so having a high fidelity AAA game that's trying to recreate the feel and layout of Seattle accurately is hugely appealing to me. I could get to know the area a little bit, virtually.
