Hello, I have been putting up some shorter blogs lately, I like it, then they don’t drag on for too long. Here is what I have been up to:
CURRENTLY PLAYING
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4)
For all of you who saw my other blog, all my progress was erased on this game. It is a common bug on the PS4 I guess. Didn’t know that until it happened to me and I googled it, now I know when I play again what I will have to do. I think I was pretty far, so losing all my progess has killed my motivation to finish. I am shelfing this game for now.
Rayman Origins (PS3)
Still working my way through this game. I love it, pretty fun, especially just sitting down and “mastering” a level or two in a sitting. I think I am getting pretty close to finishing it. Anyone who read my previous blogs knows I bought this game to “test” the series to see if I want to buy Rayman Legends on PS4. I definitely am.
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (PS4)
This was free for Playstation Plus members. It is by the same people who had made Super Stardust HD and Resogun. I can definitely tell, it has a lot of similar mechanics. I like playing it, not bad for a freebie. Been playing through when I need a change of pace.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD (PS3)
Peace Walker is the only Metal Gear game I have not played, I am FINALLY changing that. I have been meaning to play this game forever it seems. I want to fully catch up on the series, especially after one of my recent purchases (see below). This game is a lot different than MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3. I don’t mind change though, I know it was meant for a handheld. A lot of the characters in this game will be returning in MGS5 I guess, so as a MGS fan, I must play this. Playing what I have so far, I am already missing David Hayter as the voice of Snake…
RECENT PURCHASES
I didn't realize that I bought this much until I sat down to write this blog, lol.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4) – Well, I bought it, lol. I am too much of a MGS fan not to. I messed around in this game and I love the gameplay. Kind of a mix of MGS4 and Peace Walker. I don’t get how Snake has the technology he has in this game for the 70’s but oh well, it’s a video game, lol. Haven’t beat yet, I have just been running around testing the mechanics. As far as what I have experienced with it so far, I would definitely say it is worth the price of admission to any Metal Gear fan. Keifer Sutherland as Snake will take some getting used to though. I loved how David Hayter portrayed him more, but I am sure it will grow on me.
Batman: Arkham Origins (PS3) – the things I have heard about this game, I didn’t think I was going to buy it, but I saw on sale for $15, I figured why not. I do love the Arkham games and it is more of the same with a different story.
Dragon’s Crown (PS3) – I knew I was buying this game when I first saw it and heard the details. Right up my alley, I love old school beat um’ ups. I popped it in to try it, game is awesome. I love how the controls feel and character design.
Saint’s Row IV (PS3) – I bought on sale, knew I wanted it, so that was that.
Prince of Persia HD Collection (PS3) -- Played the first game back when it first realesed. This collection seems like it is kind of expensive everywhere I see it. Picked it up somewhat cheap. I like having hard copies of games, otherwise I am sure it is available cheap as a download somewhere.
Sly Collection (PS3) -- Since it was announced, I wanted it. Waited for it to go down to a reasonable price (under $20).
Rage (PS3) -- I bought this to fill out the order of the above two games, it was dirt cheap. I rented it when it first released. I'll give the full thing a try.
Well, the Playstation 3 games above are among the last games I will purchase for Playstation 3. The final one I will get will probably be Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Collection. I have a lot of PS3 games, so I don’t feel bad at all in saying that, lol. From here on out, it will mainly be next gen purchases.
Feel free anyone to add me on PSN or Steam. My user ID is the same for both: F1r3inth3H0l3. Have a great weekend.
