Well for whatever reason, (possibly the weaker Canadian dollar) the Final Fantasy X compilation is $45 here in Canada. On top of that I have to pay 13% tax bringing my cost $50.85 if I buy it in a store right now. However it is only $39.99 on PSN and I don't have to pay tax saving $10.86 on the deal.

So buy physical, buy digital or wait until the retail copy drops in price?

Depends if you've anything else to play right now I guess. If you need to buy now, I generally prefer physical but for a $10 difference, I'd go digital here. Just my two cents.

I plan to get the physical copy.  I'm just waiting for the price to drop.  If the price doesn't drop, you can always get the digital version later or wait for a price drop on it.

I say download it and write a diatribe blog explaining that you did it because they asked too much for it. That's what I told the cops when they raided my apartment and found that Revolution X arcade cabinet I stole.

I get three square meals a day, good exercise and they allow me to masturbate on weekends, so I'd say it worked out well for me.

I would say physical copy for sure, if it's only ten bucks difference.

That's 10 bucks I could use for beer. Cool

I have been debating between a physical and digital copy as well.  Price isn't the issue though.  I would get it for the Vita, but the file size is pretty substantial and I don't know if I have the space for it, or would want to make the space on my memory card.  The thing that makes it even more difficult is that X-2 is apparently just a download code for the Vita.

Yes, the Vita version has X-2 as DL only.

I really don't need it right now and since I doubt that it will be rare I'll probably wait until it drops in price then get the retail copy.

Personaly I'm not a fan of digital, but I do have my share of stuff from PSN. I would probably wait, but then again I'm not a big fan of FFX,lol.

Duane, go to your room and think about what you've done!

LOL, not everybody has to like the same stuff even if they do have the same birthday. Cool

Honestly I am probably way to harsh on that game, its not a bad game, although it had some issues. Mostly I just feel like it lacks that old school Final Fantasy "feeling". I have not played it in over a decade so I should maybe give it another shot.Smile

I'm usually in the physical media camp, but $10 is nuts. Go digital, play and enjoy the game, and if you still want a physical copy, wait for a sale and pick up a copy for your library.

I'd go digital myself, ten bucks is ten bucks.

I'd wait till it's official bargin bin price given the nature of the game. Plus I thought if you buy physical you get both the PS3 and Vita versions.
