that artist was a BIG part of my imagination growing up, and when I looked through my D&D books a couple months ago, I still revelled in the interior art. He conjured up worlds and really inspired us to come up with our own adventures. I never knew his name, or knew who he was, but I really respect his work and the work of all the other artists who put their stuff in Dragon Magazine and campaign sourcebooks during the heyday of RPG's.

The things that i deem interesting this week
Deaths
Famous D&D Artist has Died
David A. Trampier, 1954-2014
You may very well have seen his work but not know ihs name but he set a standard for tabletop game art wrk that has inspired all forms of games comics and trading cards. I don't think artist in this industry has had as much impact as him, I'll leave you with his most well known piece.
Comic news
Spider-man of 2099
...Is getting an ongoing, the Original writter Peter David will start things off for 8 issues. I'll see what it's like after he's gone.
Sandman: Overture #2
It's gorgeous, some might not think it's worth the wait between issues but it's okay by me, all those who haven't read it yet, trade wait I suppose.
Teen Titans: Earth One
An elseworld grahic novel telling a new interpratation of the classic team, which is just as well as the current TT book in the Nu52 are awful.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer, Bay style
I don't hate it right out, but the whitification of the Shredder and the less than inpressive cgi Turtles I'm not holding my breath.
Games
Max Payne 3
Finished it this week, I wish I don't suck at it (I need a desk to use a mouse) but it's a very viseral and overall good game, it's a bitter sweet end but it's a fitting one, I'm kinda hoping for a 4th, just to give him a happy ending potentially. The humour and self-awareness of Max is a bit of a downer but it shines through every once in a while, they could easily make an Anime of the series, I'd watch it
Batman Arkham Knight
Rocksteady released the new Image above, is this Azrael? I don't know but there could very wel be an imposter out there, This could verywell be Hush who has stolen Bruce's Identity from Arkham City or Jason Todd (which I less likely), we'll see won't we?
Guilty Gear -Xrd-
Arc System Works have been releasing their soundtrack the past few days, this is one of my favs, many of the arragements are very similar to the ones from X2, which is a very welcomed choice Daisuke Ishiwatari is a master of Fighting game soundtracks
Persona 4 (PS2)
I've gotten far enough where I can chose a job and hobby, I'm a few days before the fog comes and the girl from the Inn is in the Castle (Yukiko?), I don't know if I should grind in the castle up till the last day to fight the final boss or concentrate on my social life and improve my other states (my Courage is loooooow)
Games to Buy
I'll eventually by te new Strider and Rayman games (Origins and Legends), Yes on PC
Work
I finally got my employee discount card and they have/are redeveloping my departmen with new equipmnt and a new service plan to take the customers through each section. It's about time to because some equipment was damaged like those overpriced Beats headphones, the 2 blokes woring on all the displays where nice, you could tell they where pretty much friends and where really good at there job, they shared some of my enthusiasm for some of the equipment.
Music
Not much to be honest Shakira's back and I thought/hoped she was dead (her career of course )
Well that's not stricktly true.
Jazz
Wednesday I attended th first live Jazz performance in several years, I had quite a good time.
(The Pianist and Keys/Claronet player are absent from above)
I listened to them, "Monster on a Leash" in Soho London, I may make this a regular thing. My Dad today told me of a story of him as a young man who hung out in Soho where there was this disco which had all glass in the front and he and my mum to saw everyone dancing from outside.
I guess it's true what they say "One who is tired of London is Tired of life"
Gregory Porter
I finally Listene to his latest Album and I now have a new favourite (drinking) song.
Um, I think that's it for now, I didn't exect to write so much and I can't be bothered to spell check.
This is V saying "Get Hyped!!"
