I really need to watch more of this basketball. I like basketball, but NBA is a bunch of douches.
I wish you luck in getting your six pack. It's nice to have goals. My goals involved video games and crazy sci fi novels.

I've been sick lately, due to lack of sleep. My coughs sound like my organs are coming out and it's painful. I spent until like 6am cleaning my apartment one day, and I don't think the dust in the apartment likes me very much. I need to borrow my friend's vaccuum and start dusting soon. It looks very spacious though, and everything has its place, so I'm happy with that at least.
I've still been watching March Madness on CBS and on the live stream online, hooked up to my TV. I usually don't care about pre, post, or half time shows, but Charles Barkley is entertaining. The games themselves sometimes start out with one team dominating, but more often than not, it gets extremely close in the second half. It's exciting.
Basketball is the one sport I can honestly say I've ever been really good at, even though that was in middle school. I was never a physical player, and I wouldn't have been great in high school or college, but I'm getting stronger and more physical with my new regimented lifestyle, so who knows? I've always been a great shot and that hasn't totally gone away. I'm still making most of my threes and free throws, even if those free throws have suffered.
I'll be honest though, my main fitness goal is just have a six pack. I don't care how douchey that is, I just want one.
Anyway, I was trying on an Australian accent the past two days for some reason, and a girl in my class (well, she's 28 and works in a bank, so woman) said she had been to Austrailia and thought my accent sounded good. I'll be sure to include it in my March MaDness podcast coming soon.
Between the Master's stuff, work, Spring Break vacationing and sight seeing/museum exploring, SFASU's NCAA run, my birthday and everything else, March really has been madness for me, but I love it, even if real life becoming hectic has meant almost totally abandoning my initial idea for MaD blogs of having something related to the media I consume every day, plus at least one video game every day to play and/or talk about. Oh well. I've sort of stopped caring about forcing myself to do themed blogs every day anyway. I like just writing whatever pops in my head.
Well, I think I am going to rest and see how I feel about cardio and weight lifting later. I might eat in a second, since cafeteria food is $616 for four months of "free" food and I already spent da money. I really don't feel like getting up right now, though.
I hate how everything in Nac closes early on weekends. I have two free sub coupons to Jimmy Johns, two Gargantuans would pretty much cover all my daily nutrition needs by themselves, but they close at 2pm on Friday and Saturday. Only places open later on weekends are pizza places and I don't feel like picking up or spending the money on something that doesn't have the protein to justify the calories. Boo.
Maybe I'll just not eat much today and say to hell with it. I could use a grocery store trip anyway, so maybe I'll just eat what I have then buy more at Kroger.
Anyway, it's Showcase Saturday on campus today, so I wish I would have taken my gym shorts with me, cause now parking will suck. My boss closed the door to my clear-windowed office when given a tour earlier while I was fixing some issues I noticed during one of the DJ's shifts. Made me feel like a Joey in a zoo. Working at Outback Steakhouse and having that nickname before I got there was fun.
Well, I don't want to leave you with just text, so here's some music, in honor of the fact I work out, yes because I feel a lot better doing it, but also because I'm a dick and I want some more vag-vag. Planet Fitness, kick me out! Or don't, cause your business plan of having no super-douchey guys that all look like Schwarzenegger and act like they're passing a kidney stone every time they grab a dumbbell is attractive to me. I don't act like that, I swear, I just want to take my shirt off and have a girl swarm like in Axe commercials. I can dream.
Oh and here's some SPACE JAM!!! I don't care if it's got 35% on http://rottentomatoes.com, that movie will always be a great part of my childhood. Also, it has a 63% audience rating, so suck it RT. I wish this were on Netflix to watch, but I've never seen Hoop Dreams, so I'm gonna watch that instead.
And some AC/DC, because Australia.
The MaDness comes in threes today. That's all for now, gonna watch Florida play Dayton with some HDMI goodness. I'm so glad these are streaming for us without cable.
PS, our women's basketball team played in the championship WBI game today. Lost, but with being the first Ladyjacks team in SFASU history to win three post-season games. Great job, ladies! Really wish I'd caught a game.

Good goals to have. All my other goals are nerdy, don't worry. :)
And NCAA is a lot more physical, interesting, and features what seem to be good guys compared to NBA, though I will always be a Dallas Mavericks fan (least douchey NBA Championship Team Ever, I say).
I dig the Longhorns. And Austin. I'd love to go to UT some time.
Yeah, my work out regimen and trainer are spoils of college life, if there was a $5,000 price attached sans education, I'd reimagine my goals too. lol Hope you do have a good hip soon, though.
Yeah I've been sick lately, too. A couple of weeks ago I had a nasty stomach bug, and last week I dealt with sinus problems and a sore throat. When I feel sick, I don't like to work out, so I've been feeling a little puny lately.
I'm not good at ANY sport. A lot of it has to do with the fact that I've been blind in my left eye snice birth and can't see as well. But bad vision or not, I'm still a klutz. The only physical activity I can do fairly decently is lift weights, so that's what I do!
Getting a six-pack of abs is hard. I don't even have that. I do have visible ab muscles, but not a sculpted brick wall or anything. I'm not really super-buff or anything, but I am stronger than what I look. I am a lot bigger than when I first got out of college and started working out, though.
Space Jam isn't my most favorite movie or anything, but it's not THAT bad. One of my favorite silly childhood movies is The Muppet Christmas Carol. --Cary
We get similar illnesses it seems, I was sick with a stomach bug a week ago or so. I'm sure you're not puny.
Funny you mention the eye with sports, because a player on our b-ball team when I was really little (I think out team was called Magic; I mostly remember playing for St. Elizabeth Saints in grade school and junior high) had a glass left eye. I remembering him being a bit ornery. His dad was the coach I think. I pretty much just lift weights and do cardio, I only recently started shooting around by myself again after SFASU's NCAA showing reminded me of my love for it.
And yeah, abs is hard, and I'm also way more physical than I was before. The main thing with abs is food though, and after my 50+ pounds loss last year, I think I can manage.
Yeah, if you actually looked at those negative reviews, I bet they just say something like "meh," not "OMG awful!" Rottentomatoes is iffy because the numbers are based exclusively on "good" or "bad" which doesn't allow you to see the full picture with the shades of gray in the actual text reviews. I'll admit, I like it probably more than I would had it not released when I was 6 years old. I still like it, though.
No problem, I love that song because of its part of my childhood as well. I am feeling better and hope you do too. I need to get back to working out, so I definitely don't want to stay sick. I don't follow my diet well, because I just eat whatever's in my apertment, which thanks to my parents' birthday gifts has included pizza and Reese's Eggs.
Oh March Madness...I will watch any game on television and have another on the laptop. Yup this is the time of year where I go nuts on the sports.
Ok when you said abs my first thought was to Step Brothers in the treehouse scene, and Brennan's younger brother talking about not having a carb in a couple of years. I don't think it's douchy to have a goal like that.
Space Jam! I think I saw that movie on campus before it was released in theaters or I actually went to the theater to see it during AMC's $5 Wednesday's.
