                   My two pick ups today

 My first was

Trinity Universe puts players right into the realm of the netheruniverse, a space in time where objects and people drift in and out of. Gamers are given the choice to play as either the Demon Dog King Kanata or the Valkyrie Rizelea. If you choose to play through as Kanata, which makes leveling up easier, you will join up with fellow NIS characters from the Disgaea realm and make your way through the game. The Demon Dog King is on a mission to delay becoming a gem and to find adventure around every corner. Becoming a gem is something every Demon King must do to keep peace in the netheruniverse, however Kanata has different plans. Playing as Rizelea is a bit more of a challenge as you join up with fellow Atelier characters on her mission to keep peace and order in the universe with the help of the dark hero Lucius. Each story gives you a much different take on the story and the events, along with multiple endings depending on the character you select and the events you take part in. Another noticeable difference in the two stories is that Kanata has the ability to create monsters and gain clear souls while Rizelea has the ability to enter the Meteorite Workshop to create meteorites from mana.

The game is the first for many of the characters such as Etna and the prinnies to feature 3D gameplay alongside beautiful 2D characters and backgrounds. The graphics are solid but they won’t win over anyone looking for as stunning as say, Final Fantasy. The story is told through character portraits that appear on screen, which should be familiar to a fan of either of these two series. These portraits are a step up graphically, but can be taxing on the eyes as the entire character seems to sway back and forth on the screen. Other parts of the story are told through wallpaper backgrounds where voices come across in the background and you are left to stare at a usually humorous screen. Fans of both Disgaea and Atelier should find themselves right at home with this style but it might not win over newcomers to these series. Lets just be blunt right now, this game was made for its fans and it can turn off those who have yet to experience past titles. That’s not to say those who have yet to enjoy the aforementioned titles cannot have fun with this game but they might feel a bit behind.

Then my second pick up I have been wanting for a while.

Farming Simulator 2013® Titanium invites you into the challenging world of a modern day farmer. Take on all the challenges of farming life, including animal husbandry (cows, chicken and sheep), crops, sales… it’s up to you to manage and grow your own farm in a huge open world, including an all-new American environment.

As your career progresses, you will control over a hundred farming vehicles and machines, faithfully recreated from the biggest names in the industry.

Both games were around $26 each and Trinity Universe was a spin off of Disgaea and you all know how I collect NIS games and the Farming Simulator I saw online for digital on psn so I had to grab a physical copy. :)

Rodney, I love your open mindedness (is that even a word) but I'm not sure if I'd like a farming sim. LOL

I do like NIS games though and will eventually complete one.

Yea my taste in games are varied lol!! But Trinity Universe is alot like the Disgaea series so if you are in to Disgaea then you will love Trinity Universe even if its a 100 plus hour game.Laughing

Actually, a farming sim could be interesting if the focus is on the challenge of modern-day farming, which is a topic I'm actually really interested in.

We all know I'm in the minority on here as far as not really loving JRPGs,RTS, or really any other genre you happen to really like; it's nothing against you, we just have almost the exact opposite taste in games; but I never thought my other choice would be a farming sim! lol

Yea Joe if I say salt you say pepper lol!!! But despite our opposite differences a farming sim is odd but im really digging it and yes its a modern day farm sim with a steep learning curve you would have been laughing at me trying to plow a straight line lol!!

Not gonna lie, I thought about picking up Farm Simulator. I have a couple of Construction games like it where you can drive the equipment, dig, and do other things, and the Farming game sounds like something I would spend time playing. It's a little too steep for me at $26 but if it hit $20 I would give it a spin.

Yea I thought is was a little pricey but I have been eyeing this game for a while now and 26 bucks is as cheap as I think it will get until FS14 comes out.....

I'm always curious about these Sim games. I got Rollercoaster Tycoon and I'd like a good Train Sim game. I'd like to mess around with Farming Sim sometime too.
