I got a platinum in Infamous Second Son. Its pretty time consuming to get these but Infamous Second Son didn't take a lot of time or skill in order to accomplish. I play too many games to really care to concentrate getting a platinum in a specific title. Since I have done all there is to be done, I will talk about the game.

Infamous Second Son is incredible looking. The light reflection on the road and its tired worn look is stunning. Its the best looking title I have played on both new consoles and more importantly it plays well too. I like the the new abilities and how its intertwined with the story. The abilities are pretty awesome and unique. I don't feel though as powerful as Cole in Infamous when I could shot numerous missles but I do think going through vents as smoke was incredible idea, especially how different powers mimic each other in their own unique way. That is good and bad.

The game though is pretty simplistic in design. It doesn't take many chances which I feel is its biggest acheilles heel. It has those outside objectives like cameras, spray painting, and such that are optional but they are the same thing. It would be nice if it took the Grand Theft Auto approach and made completely unique side missions. This wears the game down and makes it tiresome. The new powers you get helps keep it from getting too stale but they are nearly similiar. It trends a close line of being mediocre in not branching everything out more in those powers and side missions. The very reason why I say the new powers are good and bad.

The game overall is great and the choices while nice don't leave an impact on future events like they should. It is nice you get to always choose what route you want to do with a mission, I don't feel I am changing the story much and was a negativety I had with the series. The ending is more impactful on your change but it had to get to that point to really make me see it. That is not to say you won't see him say some completely different things I just don't feel like it impacted my decisions. Good game though. It was a fun and happy I can now concentrate more on other games. I just wish that your moral decisions were more immediately impactful and wasn't just noticeable by the mission you did. If I was going to score this game, I would give it a 85 or a B.

I would love to play this game. I preordered the first game and spent a lot of time on it but did not finish. I have 2 on my hard drive but haven't touched it yet. Maybe it will be free by the time I get a PS4

I like the ending to the first one the most. The third game doesn't reference anything from the past games. It's like a standalone title in the universe with Cole. I think the games are easy to beat. You should be able to get through them fairly quickly with some dedicated time.

It sounds like a good game.  I plan to get this one.

It is but I really do wish there was more story to the game and side missions that immersed you more in the world. That is my main letdown.

If I had a PS4, I'd be all over this.
