Not much to say, actually.

I started playing Killzone Mercenary on the Vita and am enjoying it. I haven't finished the short campaign yet, playing one mission a day since I started Monday. It's not too bad, the missions were cut to handheld length, which actually helps me in setting aside about 15-20 minutes every morning to finish one before heading to work.

The missions also have a good replayability factor, as there are new goals to complete once you finish the basic mission itself. I've also tried a couple multiplayer games, the first handheld multiplayer game I've experienced. I did okay, though the short joysticks gave me problems.

I've also been enjoying Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition on the PS4 lately. It's a pretty mindless co-op game, which might be why I'm having fun with it.

I finally played episode 2 of The Walking Dead Season 2. I had been putting it off for fear of it being too good. It was. I'll probably write a review of that and episode 1 sometime soon.

I've been wanting to try Mercenary Kings on the PS4 as well, but haven't had much of a chance to. The art looks fantastic and the trailer proudly announced it as a mix of Metal Slug and Borderlands. That instantly sold me on it.

My friend and I started a Let's Play Way Too Late of Gears of War 1 over on our podcast's Youtube channel. Unfortunately, the audio for my buddy was drowned out a lot by the gameplay. We seem to have corrected it on later videos.

I'm currently reading Debtor's Prison by Robert Kuttner. It's a novel length outline of the practices and decisions that led to the economic collapse a few years ago. While I understood the global complexity of the issue, reading about how the turn to austerity in Europe foresaw and also affected the collapse here in the US is really frightening. I read it and keep muttering the same thing: "Shit's scary."

How you all doing?

shit is scary.

I'm doing good, just watching Dr. Zhivago with my mom here.  Russia was (is) fucked up.

Yeah, "is" seems appropriate with all the stuff that's been happening there lately.

I haven't seen that movie, despite only every hearing good things. Maybe I'll change that soon.

I love a good podcast and let's play. So I headed over and I am checking out your Gears LP. I like that it is a Live Format. It is pretty cool for the youtube LP that I haven't experienced. Most are heavily edited so it is nice to see a live LP. Awesome job. I hope you do more games. I am looking forward to them.

Thanks! I appreciate the positivity!

There's two reasons we're doing it live. 1) It's more entertaining that way 2) My friend and I tend to talk over each other and reference other crap we've said, so editing would be a bitch I don't have time for!

We're planning to go through all 3 Gears titles (maybe Judgment), and maybe some other co-op titles too. We've been eyeing Fuse for a while...Stay tuned

I've never played one of those games. I guess they're pretty good?

I got in a debate about minimum wage with my professor yesterday, which started cause he asked if my ex-girlfriend who has a desk job got paid the same as I did, and at one point he suggested that people angry about financial crooks didn't understand what made them crooks and were "angry about something they didn't understand," which is a) bullshit and b) he's not an economics professor, so I think that's projection more than anything.

Neither of us really won that debate in my opinion, we just through out a bunch of hypotheticals.

Sometimes debates over hypotheticals are fun and pretty good at putting the mind in order. Debating economics is the "grown-up" version of Avengers vs Justice League. Though putting economic theories to work would have a much greater global impact than a series of comics...
