Good Tuesday morning, Pixlbit~!

Thought I'd drop a line or two in the blog-o-sphere.

- Firstly, that's not MY ankle, but I'm sure it looks similar under this big as splint (pre-cast). Surgery went well yesterday. My ankle is the new recipient of a surgical steel bolt that pins my torn ligament and broken bone together. Ehh, I doubt I described that correctly..but what's important is this: PAIN! I feel an abundance of it, as any post-op patient would tell you. However, the NorCo are taking the edge off. I'm out for 90 days, so I'll be able to contribute here on-site in a consistent manner, at least until the end of June.

- I finished up all the episodes of Mad Men available on Netflix. Damn good viewing, that show is. I been laughing my ass off every time Pete Campbell is on screen; he looks funny as hell with a balding head. You could watch a drive-in movie on that FIVEhead:

If I'm not mistaken, the 1st half of the split final season airs soon. Gonna have to buy them all via VUDU....I don't have cable. And I don't miss cable, either....there's still plenty on Netflix I've yet to sink my teeth into. I'm actually starting up Battlestar Galactica today (the newer one with Ed James Olmos). My late father used to watch it often, and I find myself having mostly the same tastes he did in sci-fi, so I figure what the hell - let's give it a whirl.

- Persona 4 is out today as a classic via the PSN. While the storefront has yet to update, the title itself is available for purchase, just use 'Persona' as your query.

I always use search on PSN because they do that a lot. A game doesn't look like it's available but search finds it. Sometimes the Tuesday update seems to come in bits and pieces.

Hope the pain eases! Damn, everyone's having surgery as of late. I was surprised by the number of guys on Geminiman's post who had passed kidney stones. I'm gonna drink water like a damn fish today! lol How'd you tear your ligament and/or break your bone?

I've got a ton of Netflix to catch up on, too. The few episodes of Mad Men I watched in 2012 with my then-girlfriend were good. Poor homely looking lady, though. Damn.

My parents really need to dump Time Warner, but I dunno if that's gonna happen until my dad's 24/7 news channels (FOX especially), become available elsewhere for cheaper ... which of course they might be with a different cable company, but I digress. I think my mom would be ok with just Netflix, though, since those NatGeo/History Channel shows about aliens creating Earth somehow are on there, I'm pretty sure. lol

yep, those dark beverages will gum up the works.

I broke my ankle and tore the ligament from nearly passing out on my feet. I stood up from my couch and took a few steps to go to the window, got lightheaded and my knees buckled. My right ankle took all the weight....200 lbs.

My brother just went through this a few months ago. Broke his ankle when he accidentally flipped a golf cart at work. They had to put 2 screws in his akle. Its been about six months and he is back to muy tai training. Hope you have the same luck with the healing.
