Hello Pixlbit! It's been 6 days since I bought my PS4 and I've been playing it non stop. I just finished up Infamous Second Son(don't worry about spoilers. There will be none here) and I gotta say that game was and still is the game that made me buy the console. I've been trying out other games on the PS4 such as Knack(didn't know it was difficult. For me that is), Killzone Shadow Fall and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. MGSV is such a great game. At first when I heard it was only a one level game, I didn't think too much of it. I'm not a hardcore MGS fan, but I liked watching my cousins play it when I was a kid. I knew characters such as Big Boss, Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Vamp, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf etc. But I never played the games. My first MGS game was actually MGS4 Sons of Liberty. Loved that game. So I just wanted to try out Ground Zeroes and I was surprised to see myself really get into it. Definitely going to keep the game and definitely recommend it to anyone who is a hardcore fan of the series or just starting out like me.
Anyways, I've also tried out the freebies like DC Universe Online, Pinball Arcade and some of the PS+ games. I was upset that I didn't get my PS4 in time for a couple of the PS+ games I wanted on the PS4, but I have some PSN credit so I just might add onto that so I have some digital games to play on the side. The interface of the PS4 is really simple. Not saying that's a bad thing. I really enjoy it. Everything is layed out in front of you, you don't have to go to another page/screen for different sections you would like to go to like the XB1 dashboard and everything runs smoothly with no lag at all.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this on my last post, but I'm not trying to fanboy anything but after my experience with both consoles, I actually regret not buying the PS4 first. I've had months of time with the XB1. Don't get me wrong, I love the XB1 but there was just problems after problems between launch and now. So many patches were created and some features were added into those patches. For example the party chat problem. There was a period of time where my friends and I could not get a party chat going. There would be times where some would join but then automatically get kicked out. Or other times where we couldn't hear each other. There was also a time where XBL went down for a few days. That irritated myself and a few other people I know. One problem I continue to have is signing into my profile. I sign in with my kinect and it's right in front of my tv. It's at a good range where it's enough to see me, but I sometimes have to angle myself to where it can scan my face and sign me in. I don't know how many times I had to move my kinect to different positions.
So enough of that. Some exciting news. The new UFC 2014 game is going to have a pre order bonus and that bonus is a playable Bruce Lee character!! This is really exciting for me because Bruce Lee is one of my inspirations. Not only do I love his martial arts and his appreciation of it, but I love reading his philisophies. Every time I watch a UFC fight, I always wonder "What if Bruce Lee was still alive and kicking today? What can he show us in the octagon?" I know that he wasn't into competitive fighting, more of street fighting, but just imagine what he could've done in the ring today! Anyways, I've never bought a UFC game on launch. I usually wait till it gets really cheap, but for that Bruce Lee character I think I'll change my mind this time and buy it on launch. Then again, he'll be available on the PSN/XBLA as a digital download later down the road. Most likely I'll wait since Watch Dogs is next month and I'm still looking into Elder Scrolls Online. I really want to buy that game, but I can't justify buying a game I need to pay an online subscription for every month. Oh well, let me know what you guys think of that topic.
Well that's all for now. I hope everyone has a great week! Feel free to let me know what you guys are playing currently. New, current or old gen. Doesn't matter at all.
BEYOND!
