Hello folks, It's that time again that I show off my Gaming book collection at you all.

The last one was Okami and now, 3 more over the last 2 weeks thanks to a sale on Amazon, I am the proud owner of 3 new Design books. I'll start with the biggest of the bunch.

The Eyes of Bayonetta

This hardcover is a guiltfilled pleasure, a mix of nightmare fuel and spank material.

Anyway, we finally get to see the games weapons costumes and other in better detail, seeing stuff you wouldn't notice unless it was on a 50" screen as well as early scetch and the ever so ensightful creator commentary.

The DVD

I havent watched it yet but i'll get to it, It has a 55min run at 4:3 though but that's fine.

Nintendo have been really kind to Platinum I may get a Wii U just for the Bayonetta 2 release.

Persona 4 Arena: Official Design Works

Damn pact full of great crap, I desided to get this once I finished the game but I intentionally ignored the story because I have been putting off playing P4 for weeks.

Apart from the sprite designs the best parts are the Creator Interviews, this is the most vauable thing about these books for any aspiring designer reading about their methods and process. Arc System Works and Atlus are perfect for each other.

I'll get the P4 after I finish the game.

Shin Megami Tensei Devil

(I couldn't find my copy of the game)

This is my fav SMT game at the mo (but I've only played 4 and finished 1...) and it's the only one where a woman gets interviewed (till I get to the DVD) Who is the Art Director to the game, her name is Akiko Kotoh. The annotations however is covered by Character Designer Suzuhito Yasuda however Kotoh covers the actual backgrounds and the general area of Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Unlike the other 2 this one double as a guide through the game, it's endings it's emails and locations etc. I barely got the best ending (the middle one where you... oh, I'm not giving it away!) so if and when I replay it i'll be using this.

I'm kinda wishing The World Ends With You get a design book but we haven't even got a sequel yet and the last teaser was 2012 august (?), SE are must be dragging their heals because the studio Jupiter are up for it and seeing the recent success of Bravery Default they may not be so unwilling to take risks with "niche" games.

Anyway, that's It for now, I need to eat something.

This is V saying "I Can't Read"

Sweet!  I would like a World Ends With You book or sequel too.  Great game.  I need to play it again.

Bayonetta sure does like lollipops.  If I had a lollipop I'd give it to her because I don't like them.

I wonder what other books were on sale at Amazon?

" A mix of nightmare fuel and spank material," you say?

I remember a Black Dahlia Murder interview where one of the guys said, "Ain't no force of nature, human or ... undomestic, gonna keep me from jackin' it to a horror film." If I were him, I'd put that on my Tombstone. Put enough pepperonis on it to spell out the whole quote, then eat it.

Nice books.  I wish I had them.

Devil Survior is great.  It's probably my favorite game on the DS.  I still hadn't played Overclocked.

I like it when companies share the artwork that goes along with their games like this. I wish companies would offer a bundle of an artbook like that, along with the game, and call that the limited edition I think folks would put down the cash for that instead of some in game DLC.

Sadly I haven't played any of those titles. I might have to if they look this peety.
