On PSN and Xbox 360 and pc Back to the Future is now available and it plays like The Walking Dead and A Wolf Among Us does and if you have PSN Plus you can play episode 1 for free and from what I have played its really cool and even has Huey Lewis and the News back in time as part of the soundtrack.

Episode 1-It’s About Time jumps the story 6 months after the time and spacewide departure of Marty McFly and Doctor Emmit Brown, where the Doc’s 1986 estate and belongings are being auctioned off to the highest bidder. With the only proof of the Doc’s existence shoved in the Wild West, Marty is completely powerless in preventing his inventions going to the highest bidder. Marty is determined to prove Doctor Brown still exists, but when a freshly delivered DeLorean as good as the day it was created appears before him, it becomes clear that Marty’s case to prove the Doc is still alive maybe in vain. As sleuthing indicates the Doc will be shot by gangsters in 1931, Marty has all the tools to completely disregard the life partner he fought through a whole trilogy to reach and leap to Doc’s rescue before history takes another grisly turn for the duo.

For all you fans of BACK TO THE FUTURE who have been enjoying the movies, and the game that's now out for PC, XBOX Live, and PSN, there's one more piece of news that you're going to enjoy reading.

Series writer and creator (and story consultant of BTTF: The Game) Bob Gale has finally come out with some more original writing: he has finally released the story about how Doc and Marty actually met!

via Bob Gale:

We never explained it in the movie. But the history of the characters that Bob Zemeckis and I created is this… For years, Marty was told that Doc Brown was dangerous, a crackpot, a lunatic. So, being a red-blooded American teenage boy, age 13 or 14, he decided to find out just why this guy was so dangerous. Marty snuck into Doc’s lab, and was fascinated by all the cool stuff that was there. when Doc found him there, he was delighted to find that Marty thought he was cool and accepted him for what he was. Both of them were the black sheep in their respective environments. Doc gave Marty a part-time job to help with experiments, tend to the lab, tend to the dog, etc. And that’s the origin of their relationship.

Well, it's not as awesome as I expected; but then again, it's not supposed to be an adventure that's fodder for another movie. In fact, it's only the most sensible thing in the world: how two friends meet, and honestly, it's kinda cool.

My PSN+ account gave me the whole series for free about a year or so ago. I started the first episode but only for about an hour. I may get around to them eventually.

It probably is and I do want to play it. So many games, so little time.

I couldn't remember when it was released on PS3. I figured a year or so ago and then I just discovered it was released starting in 2011. Boy time is just going by way too fast.

Yeah that is weird especially since the PC version came out in 2010. I would have thought it would make it to the 360 shortly thereafter but I guess not.

I would like to play this too, but like Mothman said, "So many games, so little time...."

According to my PSN download list I downloaded hundreds of games on October 6th 2013. LOL that must have been when I renewed my sub.

I still remember the kind of bad nes Back To The Future games. Glad Tell-Tale got a chance to make a worthwhile BTTF entry for a change! Wink

I played this game awhile back and had a lot of fun with it. I've played most of Telltale's adventure games since back when they released their first Sam and Max game.

I do love me some Sam and Max.

I downloaded The demo for Devil's Playhouse episode one and out of the blue Sony sends we the DL code for the entire season and it doesn't expire if I cancel my + membership.

I wound up playing the first three episodes non-stop. I really should finish the season at some point.

the BTTF games are ok.  Definitely not on par with The Wolf Among Us or The Walking Dead, though.

I played through all 5 epsiodes about a month ago

The Back to the Future game from TellTale has been out for a while, actually.  It'll probably be the closest thing we get to a 4th movie.  The game started better than it ended, though.

I miss 'old' TellTale when they made stuff like Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit games.  I'm glad The Walking Dead games are successful for them, but now that's all they do.

I got all the episodes a while back for free with PS+. What I played of them it seemed kind of clunky and boring. Only played maybe like three scenes into the first episode. So maybe my opinions not the best to go by.

As people have said, this game has been out for a few years, but I'd still like to play it. I'll check Steam's price.

Well being that I was a 360 gamer only up to about 3 months ago it was never on xbox live so these old tale tell games are kinda new to me....

Hey the BTTF games! Like many I downloaded the series when it was free on PS+, but I think I only got around to playing half of the first game. I got stuck, and I think I got caught up with some other plus freebies and never went back.

I would like to have a physical copy of this series.

I was extremely excited when I few years ago I read about TellTale making a new King's Quest game.  They've already had success in continuing old LucasArts adventure series (Sam and Max and Monkey Island), so I was looking forward to them taking on a classic Sierra series and maybe branching out to other ones (Space Quest!). I was really bummed out when I heard they cancelled it for some reason.

Yea, that sucks. I would've loved for some of those Sierra games to come back.

For some reason, even though I saw it in the theater in the 80's, I never really took to it. I mean, I didn't dislike it, I just didn't become a huge fan; however, with Tell Tale at the helm of this game, I'm interested to give it a shot sometime.
