Here we go!

-I've been doing a lot of sitting down on my ass lately.  A lot.  It's not in my nature, but I think I've adjusted to it nicely.  It pisses my significant other off, though I know it's only because it's added strain on her.  When I get back to work, I'm going to have to get her something to show my appreciation.

-I finished reading Game Boys.  It was a decent read, though you'd probably be hardpressed to pick it up and read it if you never got into Counter Strike 1.6.  I did in a big way for a while, so I was able to relate to quite a bit of what the author was attempting to convey.  After I finished it I tried to get into a couple of other books (the Return Of The King, Starship Troopers) to no avail...until I remembered that I'd not yet read my well-worn (but new to me) copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction by David Michaels.  The first few chapters are well-written and packed with covert agent-style goodness, so I'm quite certain I'll see this one through.  I found it at a thrift store over a year ago.  That's usually where I buy most of my books.

-I've been playing some Golden Sun Dark Dawn on Xander's 3DS while on the couch watching episodes of The Office.  It's a nice game with cutesy little graphics, and it's entertaining enough that I'll probably make it all the way through.  The older characters from the first Golden Sun game are a bit talkative though, and easily take up long minutes during the cutscene banter.  It's got some cutesy-style graphics, as you can see here to the right.  Not complaining though, the graphics work well with the setting of the story and the game world.

-I've not played too much Borderlands 2 this past week, instead endeavoring to get a good start in Tales Of Xillia.  I'd started the game awhile back and couldn't remember the story so I began another new playthrough as Jude.  I'm about ten hours in.  Being as I've been going right to Xillia lately makes it highly unlikely that I'll finish Borderlands 2 before my Plus expires.  Looks like the backlog isn't taking as big of a dent as I'd intended to make,

-Pier Solar HD looks really really cool.  I'm definitely going to be playing this game, just not sure if I'll get it for my ps3 or pc.  it released back in 2010 in a very super ultra limited run on Genesis carts.  Few people had a chance to play it, from what I gather.  That being so, I'm happy  we get to check it out!

I ended up picking up a few cool games this past week:

- Retro Rogue for Android

-10000000 for Android

- Cave Story+ for PC

- FTL for PC

- Dustforce for PC

- VVVVVV for PC

- thomas was alone for PC

- Puzzle Bots for PC

I got all the pc titles except FTL via the most current Humble Bundle.  Of all these games, FTL is the one I'm most excited to be playing.  I started it up and played through the tutorial yesterday, though I must admit that I didn't read everything that I should have.  I'll end up replaying the tutorial for sure.  I ended up killing my entire crew off by opening all the exterior hatches and venting the oxygen into space.  Interesting end for a first playthrough, lol.

You haven't hit the "Oh my god I'm so F*ing bored" stage of your recovery yet. When I had my back injury in 2008 (or maybe it was the one almost one year later to the day) and was on doctor ordered bedrest for ten days, I started going stir-crazy around day eight. But then again, I was flat on my back and couldn't move even if I'd wanted to. Gaming on a console was out, so I did a lot of gaming on my DS, but my arms would get tired from having to hold it above my head. And there was only so much daytime TV I could take.

@ SuperStep: lazy indeed.  Its stay off my bad ankle or make the injury worse..im opting for a good recovery, so I do my best to not be ambulatory.   Im successful with it.

@ Tami: not going crazy really.  I stay readinv or gaming or balancing on one leg to do dishes.  Ive remained entertained

I bought Pier Solar a while back.  I haven't opened it yet though.  IT's too awesome to play.  Wink

I've been hearing quite a good deal about Pier Solar, I might just have to grab it.

I could never be able to sit around that much. I did that for just two weeks on a vacation bing of gaming and I gained 5 pounds!
