on the L.A. trip in May. The guy I'm rooming with helped set that part of the trip up and it sounds like we'll be getting tons of access and be able to ask a panel some questions as far as I understand from the meeting we had yesterday, during which I was typing references for a paper due that day.

So that's yet another thing to be jealous of me doing this year. Your jealousy may be subdued by the fact this class will cost me $954 for tuition with no FINAID due to my only taking this one class, plus the $292 airfare and $610 for other fees I've already paid, and not including whatever I purchase in expensive-as-shit L.A. Thank God I'm at least employed part time. I haven't even looked at my damn unsubsidized loans yet ... I'm scared.

In other great news for me, this happened.

The Real Carter III: The Real Blue Blur

Well, sadly, I'm done eating for today. I have some calories left, but not enough to do much with really and my protein quota's been met, so fuck it.

I got my work out in and walked dogs with my friend. I asked him if I could play Quake at his house and he offered for me to borrow it, but my N64 is not plugged in. We both laughed about how sometimes 5 minutes maximum to complete a simple task is 5 minutes too damn long and not worth it. lol

Anyway, I'm off to FINALLY catch up on House of Cards and perhaps at some point work on the research presentation I have due this Thursday. My professor sprang it on us this past Thursday that other professors will be there to critique our work. Yay.

Have a good one!

I am jealous about the Insomniac visit. My absolute favorite franchise ever is Ratchet & Clank.

I liked the one I rented on PS2 back when.

I liked Insomniac when they made Spyro and Ratchet & Clank games.

I remember Spyro games from many points in my childhood, yet rarely played them. I'm honestly pretty sure I've only played those games on a kiosk or two and a PC at my middle school. When I saw it on PC, having been used to stuff like Gizmos & Gadgets, Lemmings, and Oregon Trail being the games available on PCs, I was like "PCs can do that?!" My how time has added perspective. haha

... I really hated Myst as a kid, despite being wowed by its aesome graphics. In fact, that made me hate it more, cause I felt duped.

oh that should be really fun man, congratulations!

5 minutes is too damn long sometimes, for sure.

I think I'll start a political party similar to that of the "Rent is Too Damn High" guy from New York.

I'm rooting for the Spurs because of Aztec Kawhi Leonard, and my friend made laugh when I got a text about the game and said Vince hit a big shot...What year is this? I like Vince, hell of a player.

It sounds like you're gonna have one heck of a trip out here. That should be an interesting trip to Insomniac, you should stock up on some cool stuff if they have an employee store.

Well you're just rooting for all the teams in my teams' ways, aren't you? Tongue Out

I'm really starting to think this is all based on the regions of our taste buds, but I will investigate while in L.A. Just for you. lol

Oh it's probably 99% region, but you have to try In-N-Out in California just to say you did it.

Yeah. Other plans to go to places that are totally in TX anyway include Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe. Dunno if I'll be joining in on those or not, since I feel like I've been.

The one specifically Cali eateries that have been suggested is one by my friend Laurie, Porto's on Magnolia Blvd. and some other bakery suggested by a professor or two.

Hell yeah on Porto's! Also check out Pink's Hot dogs if you're in the area. It's a hot dog stand where a bunch of celebs have hot dogs named after them.

... I bet they have fun with sizes at that hot dog place. lol

You mean "the" Insomniac Studios?!?! Lucky. Sure it'll cost you but atleast it's for college. It it was me going there I'd smack one of those developers and ask them why the jacked up Resistance 3 so bad!

Well, the panel we talked with was more a PR/Marketing team and we weren't able to tour the office given their pre-E3 secrecy, soooo that wouldn't have happened. lol
