I cheated and watched the ending to Lightning Returns on youtube. Haven't played the game still. However, I really liked the ending, and was satisfied with the story ending. I especially liked the secret ending after the credits. I made me wonder what it could mean? Lightning Returns 2? I hope all the XIII games are released in one special edition disc someday and I can play the all in a 300 hour gaming session. LOL!

Now is a good time to say hi, don'tcha think!? I've been keeping busy, mostly offline, though. I can't believe it's almost May! This winter certainly was cold and miserable-ish. Anyway, now that the weather is getting nicer, I've been more active as of late, which is a good thing, I think.
I dunno, I guess I haven't had much to say lately. I played and beat Lightning Returns a few weeks ago. The ending was sort of satisfying, since I've stuck with that series so long. I'm glad that most everything was brought to a close. Ultimately, I liked it, but really don't think it's for everybody. After 4+ years with Fabula Nova Crystallis, I was ready for it to be over with. Now that Kitase has completed his Magnum Opus, I have mixed emotions over the future of Final Fantasy. I suppose I'm just musing, but FF 15 feels like 13 in modern Tokyo so far. The ending to 13 felt a LOT like the end of Sailor Moon, in that, well, YOU KNOW what I'm talking about. I would go more in depth, but I don't know how to put spoiler tags on here. Let's just say that the end of Sailor Moon had Serena become the most powerful being in the universe thanks to her friends. She beat the ultimate villain, and remade the Earth into a bright and peaceful future. There was even a Dragon Ball Z moment where all of the people of the world combine their life force to help out in the most supreme Spirit Bomb ever made. No joke. Crazy!
After LR, I finally took the plunge and downloaded FF VI for the iOS. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised! They actually did a good job with the new graphics. The last release for GBA was looking pretty long in the tooth. My biggest complaint, the character models, aren't that bad, actually. I still don't like the pastel colors, and everybody looks like they either have a huge belly &/or boobs, but hey, they redid the menu screens so they aren't so cumbersome, and that's a good thing! This release is definitely based off the GBA data, because of little things like the music cutting out instead of fading and the script. I was hesitant about getting it because of always online DRM, but I'm happy to report that that's not the case with this version. I only had one instance where the game cut off to go to Safari around where I first started playing. After that, I was playing offline, even after rebooting. I think this is best played on the iPad Mini, because everything is nice and proportionate. I her that it's all too spread out on the regular iPad, and I can imagine how cramped it must be on the iPhone. I just finished the first visit to Zozo, and am looking forward to more.
I picked up the FF X/X2 LE yesterday, because, hello, Limited Edition. It was $35 for PS3 at Gamestop. Yeah, I know, Gamestop Evil. So sue me. =P This series really deserves a $20 price point in my eyes. I played for about 5 minutes before deciding to turn it off and come back to it later. The graphics aren't amazing so far, and I think they got new voice actors. I think I'll do a speedrun with this game just to experience the International Sphere Grid. When I have time. In between FF VI. And life.
But yeah! Just been working 40 hours a week. I would really like to get off nights. I may get a supervisor position at Speedway here soon. I'll be doing an assessment with the boss this week. The stocking position at Walmart isn't working out. I hate doing grunt work. That's why I went down to 3 nights a week there. I was trying to get off this third shift nonsense, but they only want to promote people they like. I was told that after 6 months, I could apply for a different position. But they never have any openings on their website. AND there have been others that have been able to switch with no problem. Just a bunch of crap, especially dealing with the night managers, who don't really care about you as a person. I have been debating just up and quitting for awhile now, if only I didn't really need the money. It's just backhand dealings. Drama. In related news, my 2 weeks annual training for the National Guard is at the end of May. Goodbye life and hello big pay day! Haha. Ialso might be able to get into Chrysler here soon. My uncle works at the Kokomo plant, and he put my name down for me because they need to add 800 people for this new plant in Tipton. I'll be working on my resume tomorrow in the hopes of impressing the hiring manager.
Some other stuff, too! My truck died last month because of the fuel pump. My grandpa bailed me out, but it cost me $1,000. So I have to pay him back. I also finally made a good friend here in Noblesville. I have a feeling she wants to be more than friends, but she's an older lady, and I don't have feelings for her like that. Plus I don't want to ruin our friendship, especially since I still have feelings for someone else. With the weather getting nicer, I need to force myself to get out and run more. It's just really hard with the schedule I'm working. It's hard to stay asleep during the day because of it being bright. Plus my grandpa is a doer, so he's always up and doing stuff around the house. One good thing is that I passed my PT test with the Indiana Guard, so I'm in the clear for another 6 months, so I sill have time.
That's my life right now in a nutshell! Thanks for reading. How is everyone's spring going so far?
