I was looking through the YouTube pages of The Game Theorists and eventually came accross some rants over Samus and her current designs on Super Smash Bros. 4 (both her Other M Power Suit and her jet powered heels). On a Chris Niosi (aka Kirbopher) vlog video I left a comment about my opinion about sexualizing Samus and using the Other M designs. This may have been a poorly written comment on a popular Internet personality's YouTube video but here's what I wrote:

Do I think Samus is sexualized? Yes. Do I hate Other M on several accounts including that it's a carbon copy of Fusion? Yes. But I'm not against Smash43DS/WiiU Zero Suit Samus or the Other M designs.

Starting off with designs: I don't like Other M but I have nothing against the design of her power suit. Hell, if her gunship can drastically change between the Prime games so why can't the power suit? As for the jet powered high heels, I'm okay with them. The zero suit was introduced in Zero Mission as part of the late in-game stealth section where everyone and everything was stronger. So if adding jets to her feet will help her outside the suit then okay.

As for the sexualized part I have this to say: It's Samus Aran, bounty hunter and exterminator of an entire species of alien parasites. No matter how big her boobs are, no matter what she wears under the suit or during a mission, whether it's the zero suit or the Justin Bailey leotard, things are going to die in large quantities when the game starts.

As far as using either Samus characters in the new Smash game, I might main both of them. See you next mission.
