this is how we do it.

- Please Believe Me when I tell you that the above lyrics constitute a piece of a verse from my go-to karaoke song pick.  If Darth has to karaoke, ths is the track, jack.

- been playing lately is Tales of Xillia, and  the story is getting good. There are plenty of monsters to fight if I decide I want to just grind,  I've never been one for hardcore grinding in a game (except Skyrim, to get the dragon armor) but Xillia has a fun combat system and I'm enjoying learning and seeing the different Arte combos. I've reached about the 15 hour mark.  That's about 5 hours away from when I know if I'm truly invested in a game.  If it still has my interest after 20 hours and a few days break, I'll come back to it.  Ni No Kuni...after 20 hours I still don't feel the desire to go back.  In fact, just thinking about Oliver cry out "Let's Do It!!!" makes me think I won't be coming back to finish.

- i traded in Far Cry 3 and God of War: Ascension for some store credit @ Gamestop.  This weekend is a B2G1 sale for used games under $20, so I fully intend to pick up Dark Souls and Dishonored (or Demon's Souls) for myself and use the free game credit to pick up LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars for my little guy.  I told him yesterday I intend to get him a game this weekend and he got excited.  I checked out my Powerup Rewards account a few minutes ago and saw that I have a $5 off coupon ready to claim, so I'll be using that as well.

UPDATE: when Xander and I got to Gamestop today they didn't have LEGO Clone Wars 3DS or Dark Souls....so I went with Disgaea 4 (I dig Laharl, but I still am interested in this Valvatorez character) and Sniper Elite 2 (any time I get to kill Nazis, I'm game) while Xander got himself one of the Ben 10 games for his 3DS.  I keep looking over at him, and he's smiling while playing.  He must've made a good choice.

- I've been playing a bit of FTL here and there, and I really enjoy it.  Very tough and very fair is how I'd describe it.  I dig that the experience is a different one every time you start a new game up.  The furthest i've made it thus far is sector 3, where I was annihilated by space pirates after making a few bad decisions.  This game is all kinds of deep: i've been reading different strategies that people use and it can get complicated.  A good working knowledge of the entire ship is necessary if you plan to survive.

- Also been playing the Tomb Raider reboot that released last year, I believe.  It's a lot of fun, and reminds me of Uncharted..err, Uncharted actually reminds me of Tomb Raider.  It came first, after all.

- I finished watching The Office in its entirety.  Such a good series.  It'd be funny to see Dwight in a spinoff series, though I'm not sure how it'd work.

- I want Front Mission 3.  The more reviews I see for this old PSOne classic, the more I want to play it.

The Office ended really good. Surprised I didn't catch on to the show quicker

Oh yeah, I saw the season finale when it aired and I was watching it the first couple seasons or so when it was on NBC, but somewhere around Jim and Pam actually working out I stopped watching cause I had no TV and no time. Now I have a TV, Netflix, and time, but it's hard to resist doing other things.

I have front mission 3 on my vita but i havent really played it yet.  Just get distracted from it.

FTL is a great game.  So nerve wracking and yet so chill.

I really wish I could join in the buy 2 get 1 free deal  with GS but im tight on money till my next check. Me and bf  went a lil crazy on our paychecks this previous week. However I plan to take things easier on this next check. The only game thing I am thinking of buying is Wolfenstien and a Skylander or 2 this next check.

the Skylanders game has always intrigued me, but I'm afraid to take the plunge...it looks like it can get expensive!  hard to resist though, especially because i loved action figs and mini figs as a kid.

The more i see Front Mission 3 the more I want to just buy it.  It looks like a lot of fun, to me, and a much easier mech game to get into than Armored Core

I picked up Front Mission 3 from PSN ages ago. I really should play it.

I liked Ni No Kuni up to the point a played that actually required coordination of both Analog sticks at the same time. I may go back and finish it at some point.

Oh, and if I haven't said it yet, I'm glad you are back in the fold after 1up. :)

thanks Pete!

It's good to be back and active in a community of heads that I'm familiar with and have lots of respect for,

i may be the only head on PixlBit sans a copy of Front Mission 3.  I'm going to drop the ducats and snap it up tonight.  I'm getting back into the srpg and trpg genre; they're such good games to play while you're laying down on a couch. =)

I wanted to add some games to the Vita library but after looking through what's available I'm going to skip on the B2G1 Sale, but it looks like you found some good stuff. I've played the Ben 10 racing game on the PS3, and it isn't bad.

I lost interest with the Office once Michael Scott left and stopped watching, but I did buy the season after that just to check out what I missed. The only post Michael Scott episode I watched was the finale.

whatever happened to gamestop's summer sales? that was one of the only few times I actually got excited about buying games over there. usually I go to my locak gamers or gamevalut that have daily deals like 5 for $25 on select racks or buy 2 get 2 free on $20 or less titles.
