Mavs ... got their ass kicked in game 7. Towards the end, I was just rooting for us to cut the deficit back to 14 like we did at one point in Q3. Oof. Well, great job Splitter, Parker, and Duncan. I respect them a lot. As for Ginobli, go back to your floppy fish person sea so Aquaman can punch you in the face for looking like such a pussy all the time. Yes, Carter flopped a bit too, but probably to counteract the millions of time Manu the Flop Man did so. Truly, you are the Perry of your team, sir. Tongue Out

But then the Rangers kicked the Angels ass in similar fashion, so it evens out a bit. Plus there's the fact there even was a game 7 against the Spurs when we were supposed to get swept.

Rango was on on Telemundo, so not really liking the dialogue from that, but having always found the visuals impressive, plus its Spanish-western theme, I felt it was appropriate.

Well, back to work. Gotta refill out some tax stuff Invodo apparently lost, do a thing or two at work, go homestuff shopping, and and study for my final. Not too bad, the close of this semester. And then of course pay $959 tuition for L.A. this month. Ouch.

Well, here's a song to lift my spirits a bit and hopefully yours too. have a good one, and May the Fourth be with you.

Also, this trailer was released a few days after the release of the official new trilogy cast. It's not for me, but since it's Star Wars day and all, here you go.

Listening to the Aloe Blacc song. For some reason I keep thinking of this Elton John song. I know Reggie doesn't have copyright on "and you can tell everybody" but he should. LOL

No he shouldn't. That would be straight up Gene Simmons/Donald Trump territory if he did. I'm glad Dwight the Knight has more class than to copyright a phrase of all things. lol Tongue Out

Yep, yer right but for every You can tell everybody there must be an equal and corresponding this is your song. I think it's a law or something. :)

I know of the pain of losing Game 7, I was rooting for the Warriors over the Clippers. So close...

I remember when Mavs had trouble beating the Warriors. That was back when Bluto played for them.

I forget the player's name, but he looked just like Bluto.

I really like Aloe Blacc's album Good Things. I have heard most of this new album on Amazon and I'm just not feeling it. Sorry if I sound like a hipster music snob, but I like his older stuff before he went mainstream. He also did some realy good hip hop before he started singing on the Stones Throw label.

I don't have cable so I won't be seeing that Star Wars toon for a while but if its as good as Clone Wars I'm down for it.

I have no interest in Star Wars cartoons, but I love Aloe Blacc's new stuff. I'll check out his old stuff. Don't worry, I feel similarly about Macklemore, though I also like his mainstream stuff as well. lol

Rango was a strange movie, but I kinda liked it. The game isn't supposed to be too bad either.

I was hoping that Star Wars TV show was a movie. I don't have time for TV lately, but I am interested in it.

Same here, really. Honestly, I've never followed a TV series all the way to the end. Maybe a season or two, but I will always fall of the wagon eventually due to time and wanting to do other things. Hell, I planned to have season 2 of House of Cards done by Valentine's Day when it released and I still don't have that finished.

The only time I watch a lot of TV is when one of my friend's is in the area and we watch TV together. We watched all the episodes of Party Down and Avatar The Last Airbender last time.

Oh yeah, actually I did binge on Avatar and finish it within a week or two when I found it online.

I'm not sure what other series I could say that for, though. Undecided

I did it with Strangers with Candy.

Bite 'er sweet sunday? Sounds like a great metaphor I am now stealing. TYPOS FOR THE WIN!!!!

As for the blog... I am not familiar with anything you speak of. Goodbye.

It bites, but it's sweet. Still works. Tongue Out Nah, I'm on a roll with title typos, so why stop now? lol

And don't worry, if the U.S. is in it, I'll start paying attention to soccer. ONLY if the U.S. is involved, cause otherwise aside from the FC Dallas updates I get on my phone, I don't really follow soccer cause I'm a Texan 'Murrican ... and was a shitty defender in grade school.

I don't even follow my country's sports, so fuck yours!

Hahaha fair enough. The good news is, my teams are now out of the playoffs for the time being, so I'll go into sports hiding once again for a bit, aside from what my phone tells me about scores.

I like to blame Skaggs for forgetting the point of being a pitcher is to not let the other team hit the ball. Typical Angels problems is not addressing pitching. At least Pujols hit a moon shot that could have dropped the outfield cameraman if it wasn't for his umbrella.

That Mavs/Spurs game was ugly. I thought it was going to be like the other Game 7s, but going into halftime, the game was done. Sorry man....and BOO The Rangers.

You're an Angels fan?

goaztecs

05/05/2014 at 02:01 PM

Yup...Angels and Padres. Padres because I used to go to a ton of games in college and Angels because I don't like the Dodgers.

Super Step Contributing Writer

You really are just choosing teams my teams are going against, aren't you? Tongue Out lol Nah, Angels and Padres don't give us problems, so that's fine. haha Tongue Out

The Oakland A's on the other hand ... oof, that series. Wow.

I loved Rango back when I saw it. I also remember the cameo of certain famous western actor.

Yeah, I like Clint Eastwood. He's a good director. I should watch some Dirty Harry movies at some point. I've never really seen his old stuff.

Rango's one of those movies I keep forgetting about even though I was interested in watching it. I think at one point it was showing almost daily on FX and I still couldn't find the time to remember to watch.

It's honestly not the greatest thing ever. It's great visually, but everything else was pretty meh to me.

that reminds me, I need to finsh up clone wars on netflix. I'm on the final season so I need to see how it all ends. Though I am told it's rather dissapointing, apparently disney killed off the series (the last to created by george lucus) to make room for this new star wars cgi series.
