I heard good things about inFamous 2. Huh.
That's a lot of souls.

Wow. You guys are going to be sick of me writing about the Souls series by the ened of the week. My Dark Souls 2 PC review will be up tomorrow, and I've been writing an article about what makes Dark Souls great by delving into its mechanics.
Today, however, DEMON'S MOTHERFUCKING SOULS 2! Possibly. Maybe. We know Demon's Souls 2 is a possibility Sony have been looking into. We know Miyazaki didn't work on Dark Souls 2 because he was working on something else.
Now, none of this has been confirmed. This is wishful thinking and nothing else. But there are a few screenshots suggesting a next gen Souls title. While it is possible it's not Demon's Souls 2 and something along the lines of Beast's Souls (project beast has been tossed around a lot, and Dark Souls was codenamed project dark bedore it came out), since the old one's souls was called Beast Soul at the end of Demon's Souls, this is a likely fit.
So yeah. Demon's Souls is my second favourite game of all time. Hell, half the time I like it more than Dark Souls. Demon's Souls is much closer to horror than Dark Souls, and I do like some things about Demon's Souls more - like the music, which is badass.
But yeah. One thing I'd like to talk about is the notion that there could be guns in this one. It would make sense in the world of Demon's Souls, since *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* The Old One was the source of both miracles and Soul Magic. *NOT SPOILERS ANY MORE! NOT SPOILED MILK ANYMORE!* Thus, a rise in technolohy as opposed to wizardry is to be expected. And who the fuck doesn't want to wield a shotgun in a Souls game? It'd be BADASS!
Unfortunately, it looks like it will only be on PS4. Fortunately, it looks like I'll have a reason to get a PS4 now since the only game I was looking forward to on it was apparently shittier than coprophiliac's wet dream. I'm looking at you Infamous: Second Son!
Regardless of how you look at it, From Software are making another medieval rpg. How could that possibly be a bad thing?
E3 is sneaking up a lot faster than people probably realize.
I'd really like to see some teasers from the next Fallout (which certainly exists but miraculously hasn't been leaked yet after all this time) and maybe the next Souls game. With DS2 behind me I need more Fallout way more than I do Souls, but in the end I need both no matter what. It's way too early for more Souls, I haven't had any time to miss it, but a simple announcement that the next game exists and is 2 or so years away would be fine.
I tried playing Demon's Souls last year...or was it the year before?...and became really frustrated with it. I've been hesitant to try the Dark Souls games for fear of a similar outcome but I'm still intrigued by the series. I love the sort of dark fairy tale world that doesn't actually ape any real fairy tales. I'm curious though how Demon's is different than Dark. I know about the bonfire system. What's the benefit, I guess, in going back to Demon's Souls for a new game?
