As far as having a Nintendo Direct in place for an E3 confrence... I'll cover that when I watch the E3 videos.
Super Smash Bros. 4: Vetrans and Newcomers

On April 8th a Nintendo Direct Special for the new Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U showcased more gameplay, new mechanics, and new characters. However, there were a few things missing. One of which happens to be one for the first twelve fighters in the Smash Bros. circuit. Along with some missing fighters there are also some fan wishes out there, so let's take a look at a few of them.
Captain Falcon
Captain Falcon has been in Super Smash Bros. since the beginning and having a game without him would be like The Avengers without a Captain America (regardless of member changes). He may show up in a trailer during the Nintendo E3 Direct but the reasoning behind this move could be a few things: it could be to hype Super Smash Bros. 4 on the Direct or reveal a new F-Zero game in the works. If there is a new F-Zero game it’ll most likely be for the Wii U since it needs a serious booster in sales from what I heard. In any case, please bring the captain back, the game needs to pack a Falcon Punch.
Ganondorf
Another fighter missing from the showcased roster. An unlockable character he shares the same move set as Captain Falcon, though power he is a bit sluggish. It is possible he’ll show up along with Captain Falcon to demonstrate a new move set assigned to him so we don’t have another Heavy Falcon.
MewTwo
Another unlockable character. Will he also have Mega Evolution for his Final Smash? Will he ever come back? We may have a bunch of Pokemon on the roster but a low possibility of seeing him as a fighter, or assist trophy, is better than no possiblity.
Ridley
Many fan wishes for this character to be playable fighter. Sorry folks, he’s a stage boss.
Final Fantasy Characters
They have their own fighting game so there’s no logical reasoning behind this.
Another Fire Emblem Character
Marth of Fire Emblem has made his appearance in Melee and it seems he’ll be sticking around the series for a long time. But he wasn’t alone when he made his debut, nor was he the only Fire Emblem character in Brawl. So far we had Roy and Ike join the roster, meaing it’s likely that they’ll put in another character from the series in. Who will it be? Will it be Chrom, the Exalt of Ylisse? Or will they go back to the past and give another unit a chance? We had a fiery duo since Melee and we may see one this E3.
More Sonic characters
There are A LOT of Sonic characters, from Genesis to Dreamcast, from anime to Archie. Let’s just stick to Sonic so the nightmare doesn’t happen again.
Solid Snake
An interesting choice to bring into Smash Bros. Will he make another appearance or will he just hide in one of the crates? Well we had Snake Eater remade for the 3DS so perhaps we’ll see him again despite how many Metal Gear games are made for Xbox and PlayStation. Maybe even Hideo Kojima will swing by and announce it.
This is all speculation on what is to come when the Nintendo E3 Direct but let's wait and hope that the news for the new Smash Bros. will be amazing this E3.
