Over the weekend Toronto musician Nash The Slash passed away at 66 years of age. Nash was a personal favourite back in the 80's and I saw him solo and with his band FM on may occasions.

Here for those of you who have never heard his music is "Dance After Curfew". The track "Phasors on Stun" is more well known but I like this one better.

a that's sad.  66 is young.  I guess it's kind of old for a rock musician though.  Frown

Yeah. He really should have asked for that blood transfusion from Keith Richards.

Also, since my L.A. trip has an 11pm curfew associated with it, I'm tempted to get a strobe light and do the robot to the song.

Seriously though, it's never good to see a musician go. R.I.P.

Keith Richards is a lizard man alien in disguise.  Their blood is incompatible with humans.  Tongue Out

I guess he wasn't that well known outside of Canada but he did tour with Gary Numan and Iggy Pop.

I hear that Gary Numan influence for sure.

Definitely nothing like Iggy though. That was a bit of a mismatch.

Like Jaime, this might be the only time i've ever heard of him. Sweet song though. Rest in Peace indeed.

I should also say that this came at the same time I discovered HR Giger died.

Add me to the list of those that hadn't heard of him before, wish I did though. At least his work lives on.
