Word of warning: P4 isn't a game that should be played in small portions and left to sit for a while. It needs pretty much your full attention in order to get the most out of it.

here we go!
- Saw the new Capt. America movie this past saturday, though i fell asleep during the show. I was tired after having been up all night the previous evening. What I did see and can remember I liked, so I'm pumped to see it again the next time I'm able. Same exact thing happened to me when the fam and I went to see Dark Knight Rises back when that came out; I ended up going to see it in the theater twice. No biggie though, as my ol lady and son enjoy going out to a movie just as much as I do, which is to say immensely.
- I'm currently playing a few different games: Dark Souls 2, Persona 4, and Final Fantasy X HD Remaster. I got into FF X in an attempt to play along with the guys from NWP, but I found myself sidetracked by Dark Souls 2. Out of the 3 games listed though Persona 4 is definitely the one getting the least amount of attention for the time being. I also manage to fit a little bit of Spec Ops The Line in there just for shits and giggles. I also picked up SMT Nocturne last week, but am currently entrenched in the above titles. Who knows how long it'll be before I get to it. The backlog continues to grow, and grow and grow. Interesting factoid: 90% of my gaming collection (probably more) is digital. Believe it or not, I prefer buying digital for one reason: once I make the purchase, I'm absolutely prevented from trading the game in. I've always had a problem with trading games in before I finish them...my girl pointed that out to me a couple years back, and I noticed that she was right. I'd buy games, play halfway through them, and then go and trade 4 or 5 fairly new titles in so I could jump on whatever new title was coming out. I was wasting money, and wanted to put an end to it....so I started purchasing digital. I've been very happy with it, though I do occasionally go out and grab a game on disc..like Dark Souls 2
- I finished reading Masters Of Doom. It's a really good book and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to gain insight into what the development process was like for early devs. The story of Romero and Carmack is nothing short of legendary, and I gained plenty of insight on the birth of id, the creation of Doom, and the industry at large, circa 1990's and prior. Since finishing I've picked up a prequel novel set in the Bioshock universe called Rapture. I've read the prologue and first chapter and it's moving along nicely. I'll update more on this title when I reach the midway point in the book; however, with the way i've been reading lately that update will most likely come sooner than later
- Xander's 3DS XL is down for the count for a bit due to a broken hinge. I'm really not too upset about it, considering he got the handheld when he was a mere 4 years old and has managed to treat it well for the 2 years he's had it. I'm going to end up sending it to Nintendo for repair, though I've no clue what that costs. Anyone had to send a 3ds back for hinges? Sound off in the comments. For the time being I'll probably (maybe/probably) allow him an hour or so a day (after homework of course) on the PS3...he's got a couple games on it (Angry Birds, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes) so he should be alright until we get the XL fixed.
