I've always wanted to get some hanafuda cards from Nintendo. I'm surprised that they still make them and also they are Club Nintendo rewards in North America.

here we go!!
- My leg is out of the cast, and I'm slowly working it back into rotation.
- I beat Max Payne 3. It didn't feel like anything to write home about at the time though. All in all I found it to be a very standard 3PS. The bullet time and dive mechanics were fun to use, but I didnt use them nearly as much as I though I would; if you simply get behind cover and pop the baddies when they emerge it's like shooting fish in a barrel. The enemy AI is competent, they'll actively search you out, but since Max can carry multiple firearms at a time I never found myself ill-equipped in the aforementioned situations. It all felt oddly similar to Red Dead Redemption, though I definitely feel that Red Dead is the waaaaaaaay better game of the two.
- I'm slowly making my way through Dark Souls 2. I suck at this game something fierce but I enjoy it anyways. Made it through the Royal Rat Authority the night before last. My character is a knight that can cast teh Lightning Spear miracle.
- Reading various things, almost all of which are videogame - related. It's a mix of fiction and non, which seems to be the current theme for my literary interests. Noteworthy of the books I'm into currently is Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America by Jeff Ryan. It's a great read so far; I had no idea Nintendo started out by making hanafuda.
- I started playing League Of Legends this past week. I've been through a couple matches where it was myself and 4 live teammates against the AI for training....and I got my ass stomped, hard. I use Ashe the Archer currently, and I'm pretty sure I've been using the wrong buffs. Thus, my next match (probably this weekend) I'll look into using buffs that extend her attack range. I have a problem of getting too close when attacking enemy champions which I am looking to remedy.
- I'm excited to play BroForce!!
- Wanting to pre-order Dragon Age: Inquisition. I hope the game ends up being good...though I admit that the $170 Collectors Edition is way out of hand.
