I Heard You Bought Watch Dogs

Hello Tueday, and hello good people of Pixlbit! For you folks in America how did you spend Memorial Day? I wish I could say my Memorial Day was productive, I had a couple of activities planned but instead I decided to stay home, enjoy the air conditioning, and take part in whatever random TV show had a marathon. I don’t know why but I also like to send random YouTube videos from my phone to the TV. I watched a couple of videos from a person I subscribe to talk about his random vinyl pickups. Yup I’m living the glamorous life

Oh and you folks who are picking up Watch Dogs today, congrats! I will be picking that up once it hits $20, and probably not play it for about a year. Nothing against the game, that’s just how I seem to work. Odd, but it works.

So what has Chris been up to? Any new games? Hmmm, well I’d like to say yes but it all comes down to the same handful I’ve been playing for a while, but I did throw in a new game (freebie PS+) to see what it was, and it was an interesting puzzle game, but more on that later, let’s see what Chris has been playing

MLB 14 The Show – PS3/PS Vita

Virtua Chris’ first full year in the majors was productive

Won the Triple Crown

The Silver Slugger Award for Shortstops

NL MVP

The Hank Aaron Award

But I didn’t win the Gold Glove. Yes I’m being greedy, but it’s video game sports, the stats are supposed to be insane. The Dodgers also took on the team that originally drafted me, the Kansas City Royals, and after a tough 7 game series

The Dodgers lost, ruining my bid for the WS MVP. Before that series Virtua Chris was ice cold at the plate, as well as the rest of what I called “Murders Row” of VC, Adrian Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig, and Matt Kemp.

My player finally got offered a multi-million, multi-year contract which is good, but I’m still going to test the free agent waters when its time.

Montezuma Blitz – Vita

So I’ve been playing this game since I bought the Vita, and I thought I’d never achieve this trophy because the five games or so you get before you wait a couple of hours takes up maybe 15 minutes, but during a random play I hit it

I spent over 100 hours playing this game. The only trophy I need is the one where I clear the entire board of tokens. This one sounds tough so I might not get it. It’s not a big deal, I’m still trying to get my current gaming level into the 200s. Currently I’m Level 183 (I think).

Borderlands 2 – Vita

I’m still playing the hell out of this game, and I think my character is almost at Level 22. I’ve run into another tough mission, so I’m going to do some random jobs until I hit Level 23 or 24, and then go back and tackle that mission. Hopefully I also pick up more powerful guns along the way.

The one thing I’ve run into a couple of times that is really frustrating is that my game freezes. I’m in the middle of picking up some loot when the dang thing just stops. I had to replay the same mission three times last night because of this (still couldn’t find where I am supposed to go). This is frustrating but I got passed it, picked up more stuff, and off I went.

It’s a shame Raptr doesn’t follow Playstation game times because I’m interested to see how much time I’ve spent playing this game. Also still no dizzy spells, which has let me to wonder if I bought the PS3 GOTY version, would the no dizzy spells continue.

Family Guy: Quest For Stuff – Android

So the game had a deal this past weekend where if you bought these three animals, you would get a special restaurant for free that would sometimes give out clams. Since I had a good number of clams saved I took a chance on these animals and well…NOTHING.  Yup I think I got suckered.

Simpsons Tapped Out – Android

So for the folks who have been playing, you’ve probably noticed the lag in the screen at different times in the game. I figured it was because I had so many random characters walking around but apparently there has been a bug and it was fixed during the latest update

Scored a nifty 20 donuts in the process.

I also got bumped up to level 41 which I also get an additional 2 donuts, so everything is coming up Milhouse!

There were also some new faces added to the character list, Dr. Hibbard’s family

And I forgot I had these two unlockable skins for Milhouse and Lisa

Milhouse was part of a promotion for I think last week’s episode, and Cool Lisa was for collecting enough Friend Points (points you earn when you visit people on your friend’s list) reward.

Real Racing 3 – Android

Ferrari had one of their cars at a "special price", which I snapped up, but I haven’t unlocked the races for it yet (at least I don’t think I have). I’ve taken a break from this game because of track burnout but I’ll be back, hopefully soon.

Well good people of Pixlbit, I must cut this blog short, I have some Graphic Stuff to take care off which means I switch from this happy screen to a bunch of iTunes, and Illustrator.

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

Yeah I'm the same I am going to wait till Watch Dogs is cheaper even though it is set in my home town. I didn't do much either over the holiday.

Alright, someone else had a slow Memorial Day!

I have a feeling that game might get a nice sale price for interested folks right around July 4th.

As you know up in the Great White North we had our long weekend from the 17th to the 19th. We did SFA that weekend because my father-in-law was in a London hospital and my mother-in-law was staying with us so she didn't have to drive in from Grand Bend. (About an hour drive)

So it was pretty much a sitting around the house weekend.

I don't think I'd like Watch Dogs anyway.  I require at least one of the following in my games:

Supernatural creepy story

Fantasy or Science Fiction story in which the characters gain powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men and beat up nasty creatures/evil rulers

Adventures in which I must solve puzzles in order to progress

Game features cartoon characters jumping on or over stuff or racing karts.

Games that make me laugh (on purpose)

From what I've read Wash Cloths doesn't have any of that so for that reason I'm out.

Hope the Father-in-Law is doing better!

So from your description, if Watch Dogs involved a plumber and his brother, perhaps tossing banana peels while driving, and maybe getting power ups from things he hits with his fist (or head depending on who you ask), you'd be all in. If only there was such a game...Tongue Out

Hahaha I think I remember that episode. He becomes Homer's boss at the plant.

With Watch Dogs, I'm going to wait on the zanier sequel (a la Saints Row),
Watch, Dawgz.

I would not only play that, I would pre-order it, and buy it on launch!

Watch Dogs looks kind of interesting, but ultimately not something I'm looking for game-wise. I'd probably have a much better time watching a Let's Play of it on Youtube or something.

Its something that sounds interesting, but I can wait a bit. A GameStop employee tried his hardest to sell me on it, and he made it sound fun, but I can still wait.
