The Dropbox link should be public, let me know if not: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6a15micnjr925eg/AACY40pzCh6x2F5f4LMpWVsda

As for my recollection of the event, my journals and reflections of what we did (and a goofy ass picture of me I would never have chosen if I wasn't rushing on Wednesday for the presentation after car trouble kept me in Dallas an extra day) can be found here:

Let me know what you guys think. A lot of the photos are not right-side-up cause my phone's camera is weird and saves things sideways, but I bet you guys will like the goodness from Insomniac Games and Warner Bros. among other stuff we did.

Believe it or not, this is not all the pictures I took (only a few more of those) and I believe there's in the high hundreds, maybe thousands of photos the group took all in a Dropbox account we'll be uploading to the website later.

I loved L.A., but I am glad to be able to split checks in restaurants again, something I never thought of as a big deal before. Seriously, California servers and eateries, what the fuck? And no, I'm not paying for a plastic bag at the grocery store! And why is gas over $4?

Despite my complaints in the above paragraph, I loved my stay in the Hollywood Hills and the wonderful people there and I can't wait to come back, perhaps as an employee somewhere we visited?

Yeah the cost of living in cali is high otherwise i would live in sf like i did when i was young and crazy.  Im glad u had such a good time, its a good age for u to check out places and consider where u want to live and why.

Well, at least I expected the high cost of living, but that splitting checks was such a damn problem for everyone was like "what ... the ... fuck?"

You're complaining about gas being over 4 bucks and you've just barely experienced it.

Californians been living with that bullshit for years.

Actually, it's more like, while I love California from what I've experienced of it, I'm bragging about some things I genuinely like better about Texas. Gas is one thing, Whataburger still being better than In N' Out is another, and I'm still curious if that inability to split checks is some kind of weird city ordinance or if servers in California are just incredibly slow. I know it's a pain in the ass; I've been a server; but again, what the fuck? That was so damn frustrating.

Otherwise though, I had a great time and loved all the people there. Especially the server at Cafe 101 who managed to split checks, which I never thought I'd look at like it was a goddamned Christmas miracle, but here we are.

Yeah whenever I would go to LA for E3, I didn't really like LA itself that much.

I LOVED L.A. actually, there are just a few areas where I still prefer home sweet home (Texas). Still, it's a fantastic area with lovely scenic views as far as I'm concerned.

Gimmie that beautiful burger and for desert, those Sweet Spot clothes. . . preferably on someone like Irina Voronina. She was on Saul of the Molemen on Adult Swim years ago. Sigh.

Loved all the Insomniac Games things: Ratchet & Clank on the cover of EGM, Resistance: Fall of Man game of the year 2006 plaque, and a life sized model of the head of a Chimera. Good stuff!

I honestly have no idea what you're referring to with the burger and Sweet Spot clothes. I need to look through my pics again. I took way too many to remember what all I took pictures of. lol

I loved Insomniac Games too. Too bad we couldn't get the full tour given the E3 lockdown, but the entrance and the panel room and the little corridor we got to see were awesome. The Commissary was incredibly chill too.

I really wanted to copy those images and put them in my comments. Wasn't sure how to do that though. The burger and fried shot was really good and the edible bra and panties thing made me laugh.

I'm not sure either. And I'll give In N' Out credit, their burgers look like they're advertised to look. Most of Whataburger's stuff does too though, so ... lol.

Oh man, i'm so jealous. I specially loved the photos of Insomniac, the Warner Bros. Studios, Hard Rock Cafe and Amoeba Records.

Yeah, those were some of my favorites too along with the radio station. And I couldn't take pictures, but I dug the 80s issue layout of the next LA Magazine issue we got to sneak peek.

Wait gas isn't $4 everywhere else? Tongue Out

I saw the pics and read your recap, good stuff. It's always interesting to read how people who aren't from California view this crazy state. I think the split checks thing is because they're guaranteed a certain amount for tips. My friends and I always had an unwritten rule about just rounding up whatever your meal and drink is worth. The Getty is such an awesome place. I could easily spend an entire day just roaming around, funny I never tried the food there.

Overall glad you guys had a great time...and I have to mention it: IN-N-OUT BURGER! Tongue Out

Lol thanks for reading. I'd be curious what your thoughts would be on Texas and WHATABURGER. haha

Seriously though, In N' Out in Cali was definitely better than I remember it. And CHEAP!

I would probably think Whataburger isn't bad...but quickly claim In-N-Out is better

We're like mirrors of each other that way. haha

but you have to save the environment by not buying those bags so you can afford to get more biofriendier carrier devices to ensure we don't trash our planet with our grocery bags and what not....

It's for the PLANET!!! have you no heart or soul?!?!?! =P

The thing is I'm all for preotecting the environment, I just heavily doubt plastic bags are the problem. Fossil fuels I get, but plastic and/or paper bags? How are they affecting the o-zone by mostly staying under my counter until I take the trash out. I'm gonna look into this. Still inconvenient as hell.
