Exciting Times

In about 30 minutes we'll be leaving for the airport to visit my family for a few days. Well, assuming my in-laws are on time to pick us up. It will be very...interesting flying with my not-quite-two-year-old son but my wife has pretty much every possibility prepared for, though I'm sure we'll still have some surprises. Speaking of my wife have I mentioned that she's pregnant? At this point I can't remember who I've told lol. She is about halfway through things (found out last week it's another boy!) and it's just one more thing to make the trip...interesting.

While there I plan to get as many of my old games as I can from my parents' house and bring them back with me. NES, SNES, Genesis, things like that. I'm excited for my kids to play the old classics I enjoyed as a kid, you know, once they're old enough to actually play them.

I'm looking forward to relaxing or at the very least not going to work Tongue Out I'm bringing my 3DS and A Link Between Worlds (as well as some digital games) for the plane, though I'm not sure how much I'll get to play. And I'll probably be mostly absent from here till the middle of next week. So take care, everyone! I'll be back soon.

That is all exciting stuff.  Congrats on the second child and all.

I had something similar happen to me recently...  My parents moved back up to the area and brought up all of my videogames back up.  So, I now have a massive box filled with PSOne, PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube games and consoles.  I do already have a Genesis lying about the house somewhere.  The only thing that I wish I had was an SNES.  My older brother has one, but a handful of those games are actually mine...

Have fun on your trip. I flew alone from New Hampshire to Seattle with my nephew when he was two. I had one carry-on, he had three, lol. Luckily, he was a pretty good-natured, well-behaved little guy and it was fairly painless for most of the trip. I spent most of my time entertainling him, so gaming would have been impossible for me, had I even had a handheld at the time.

Congrats. I brought my kids up on NES games. I didn't know how much they enjoyed them until I sold the NES system at a yard sales and they both cried. I had to go out and buy a used one and find the games I'd sold all over again.
